Input appreciated!...... I have a growtent and a carbon filter with outtake fan as well as a ported hole bringing air in the bottom and an oscilating fan... my question is... while the carbon filter and outtake is on the temperatures get around 68 F... is this too cold for them??? when i turn it off the temp gets to right around 74-78 F. I have a 400W HPS any thoughts def would be great...
Those temps are fine your plants will still flourish from those temps. I'm battling low 50's at night with lights out and until I notice the difference between my buddies grow and my grow I am not getting a heater. :thumbsup:
sounds good to me thanks for the reply! also I was just wondering do you use nutes??? I have the foxfarm trio.. but my soil seems to be retaining a lot of water... I really dont have to water very often at all maybe twice a week... I added some pearlite and myccorhiaze into the soil and it has helped... just wondering waht you thought.. and any reccomendation on final pot size for my ladies?

me again,imho 68f is not too cold.i've read that above 85f or below 55f will slow/stop growth.72-76f being ideal!
hey bee..... awesome to hear I honestly think the best way to learn and challenge yourself is to hear and read what everyone else is doing... Im having a lot of trouble right now with my bottom leaves turning yellowish and browning and dying all have been transplanted and i am feeding every 3rd watering... but I dont water everyday...
My temps are right around there... usually never getting to 80 F with the fan and new location... def just trying to figure out why the leaves are dying never had this problem before
when was the last time you changed your bulb?
an old bulb has diminished spectrum and even though there is light it may not be usable light for the plant to carry out photosynthesis
actually i havent changed it... i have used it for about 10 months how long do they usually last?
I think you are fine - I just did my first harvest yesterday, temps were getting down to 50F at night (that is with a heater, it fluctuates +/- 10F) and never above 65F during the day (600W hps), and it turned out really well. I learned that plants are tougher than you think!Quote:
