lightproof venting howto??
Just curious how you guys handle light leaks from the grow boxes......i currently have passive venting.....1" x 2' slot along top back of 2'x2'x5' box, intake is 1"x2' along front edge of the bottom. I am considering closing these up to make things more stealth............but also want to retain the light not let it run through ducts........i dont really need to duct the exhaust as box is in a shop area, but could do a short run or a loop or something to keep light from escaping, maybe add a carbon filter to that. Would like to hear ideas from those who build there own and have tackled that problem.

i know exactly how to do this but kinda hard to explain with words. go to youtube.com and type in how to build a grow box from start to finish (10 of 24) i could be a diff number then (10 of 24) but that guys got the right idea. hope this helps.

cool vidoes, was skeptical at first but ended up learning something. wasnt aware of "light traps", just assumed the light would reflect and bounce, guess i'll be working on false bottoms and tops for my box.....mines still passive no plans for a fan yet so we'll see if it works.
