Let me know if you're out there, I need some emergency help.
Blast away.
Hey everyone, i am somewhat a new grower, about a year now, not real succesfull yet but working on it, i am a legal caregiver so i can grow twelve plants. I have a high pressure aeroponic set up, take a look at the pics, everything is run at 100-80 psi, I am at day 16 flowering now, these are all flowering clones. Right now i am keeping my ppm at around 1100-1300 and ph around 5-6. Any tips or comments would be great.
This is my first attempt at Aeroponics. I have a 16 pot system and have eight plants (different strains) 32 days from seed. Plants were growing beautifully until two days ago when I noticed one plant was drooping and leaning. After closer observation I noticed that approx. the first inch of the stem (just out of the rockwool) was thinner than the rest of the stem. Color was lighter with some dark spots and it appeared to be (for lack of a better description) dryer or shredding. I noticed that all plants have it to some degree. The rockwool cubes progressively got darker and are now black in color.
I am using a 4 X 4 grow tent under a 400 watt MH approx. 20 inches from the top of the plants. Air temp is 80 degrees and humiduty around 30%. Air is filtered and exhausted outside. A fan is running (just started the fan upon suggestion from another thread. I have an aquarium aireator running air into the reservoir. Nutrients (all per gallon of PH adjusted to 5.8 tap water) are as foloows; B.C. Boost 3 tsp, B.C. Grow 1 1/2 tsp, Thrive Alive B-1 Red 1/2/ tsp, MagiCal 1/2/ tsp and SugarDaddy 2 tsp. PH is currently around 6.1.
Do you have any idea what might be causing my problem? The plant that I first noticed is still drooping and doesn't appear that it's going to survive. The remaining plants still appear to be strong but I've had to support two of them.
you could have stem rot. And thats probably because things were kept too moist.

16 pot system with sprayers in each all hooked to the main rez ?
Is it gavity feed back to the rez ?
It sounds very much like pythium (root rot) from the rockwool staying too wet for too long. Dark green fungus on the rockwool.
How do the pots fill up when sprayers are on ? How long does it takes them to drain back ?
Would very much like to see some pic's. I bet your problem will be solved when we see it. Many here to help and a pic says just about all. some systems need to be tweaked about watering. Once you tune it in it will blast.
I'm going to try and post some pics. Wee Zard said I may have difficulty since I have less than 50 posts . Stay posted, I'm going to give it a try. Won't be until tomorrow.
In the meantime; Yes it's gravity it just drains back to the res. The pots don't fill up. It's a root spraying system. The sprayers are in the tubes and just spray the root structure. It drains back within 60 secs.
I'll do my best on pics in the morning.
What is your watering schedual ?
What do your roots look like ?
Current watering schedule is 60 seconds on and approx 10 minutes off 24/7.
The roots are incredible. Long, thick, and white. Plants above are lush, full and green. Five to seven inches at 17 days since spraying schedule was started. I have varied this schedule since 1/29 and the current spraying schedule has been consistent for the past three days.
I'm going to try and add pics.
Ok I read through again.
What kind of medium are you using ?
It may have alot to do with it staying too wet.
