I had a test and went the 'detox' route, coincidentally enough since cannabis isn't a toxin... and passed.
I found out about my possible test on a tues night with the interview the next day (weds) which basically made me shit my pants. This was for a mediocre job at an office building basically working on a computer. So I got offered the job in the 1st interview, then got all the paper work and went home to meticulously read over the screening form I had to bring to the testing facility. It was a 10-50ng/ml (hope I got units right) GC/MS, meaning 10 substances, 50 cutoff, which is a higher level of testing, most likely the cheapest of the 10 screens.
Anyhow, I then proceeded to tell my new boss that I live far away and I could come back end of next week with all the paperwork completed and the receipt for the testing. He didn't care as long as I took it at the place they wanted. It was at Quest Diagnostics inside a outpatient health center.
I didn't go the sub route because I just didn't trust that I would be alone, and it freaked me out, so I figured I could get clean or at least come close; I had 9 days.
I am about 5'11" and 250, so Im a big guy. I know it doesnt matter to water load and to drink copious amounts of fluids and diuretics, but I couldn't help myself. I drank gallons of water, 1/2 gallon bottles of cranberry, blueberry, pomegranate, and orange juices. I took 2-500mg niacin for 3-4 days before the test; most of them are no-flush these days. I took low dose aspirin for 3-4 days before the test, and I made sure to have some beef for dinner the night before the test to raise creatinine levels.
I also bought one of those drinks at gnc; I know supposedly they do nothing and charge up the rear for it. But my buddy swears by it, so I went for it; total eclipse orange. The night before the test I drank a half gallon of fruit juice, and half gallon of water. I woke up real early and purged the first of the day. Then I started some of the tips in dilution method posted here. I took some aspirin, started drinking water casually but quickly. I then drank the eclipse orange then filled it twice with water and drank it; again, casually, but quickly. I then drank a gatorade slowly (infact, didnt even finish it) all while purging when needed. By the time I got to the facility it had been 3 hours since I drank the eclipse and 45min since I drank half the big bottle of gatorade; I had purged 5 times total all day.
I went in, and they called me in after 10min (felt like a tidal wave of piss was about to come surging through every orifice of my body) Finally I get there and she has to fill out paperwork on the computer; asking me 20 questions when all i wanna do is piss all over. I had to take everthing out of my pockets and hang up my coat. However the box that held my wallet, phone, etc was IN the bathroom that I was in with the door shut. Anyhow, I gave them midstream of my 6th pee of the day, looked like normal, nice subtle yellow color, not neon like the b12 can do sometimes.
The lady said it they would have results within a week. It has now been 18 days and no news is good news! I got asked for a copy of my diploma and social security card, and last week (Tue) I got put on payroll; so I can only assume all went well!
I know how some of you out there are feeling and there aren't enough descriptive accounts of experiences out there; so I thought I would share. Remember, this is just one person's results. Everyone is different, don't take this as a sure-fire anything; it is just more information to help those wrongfully tested for cannabis.
