Stressed plant.?

Okay, I am not to sure what caused my plants to hermie. But I think that it might have been a cause from a dose of Liquid Kool Bloom. If this was the case will theses seeds mostly be female seeds by chance.? Of if it was light stress will theses be female seeds or hermi seeds that will hermi them self.?

The thing is, that i never seen any hermi bananas except on 1 plant and it started growing male balls also. But my main concern is, are theses seeds gonna be female or hermi. Im not trying to grow em out and they be a waste of time ya know.

If you have all females, they will produce all female seeds. If the hermie was caused by stress, then the seeds will also hermie from that same stress.

If a plant hermies under perfect conditions, it just means that it's in its genetics to hermie every time. The resulting seeds from this will most likely hermie under perfect conditions as well.

Seed gender is very tricky. There is no way to determine what a seed will be, male or female. Science has shown that a high Nit. and Pott. while in veg and seed growing stage will increase the likelihood of female seeds, but there is no way to actually tell what seed will do or become. females will produce both male and female, hermi's are almost always do to stress, messing with their light cycle (never interrupt dark time) is good way to make your plants herm out on ya.

hey,,,im kind of new to growing around 2 months in my first grow and im doing really good actually, im still trying to figure out what some of this stuff means...what is hermie and what does it do?

That's if we're talking about a male plant pollinating a female plant. I think KillerBudG is talking about a female plant that hermied. When a plant hermies, it produces male flowers with feminized pollen, NOT male chromosomes (XX for female, XY for male, the Y makes it a male. Since female plants don't have a Y chromosome, they cannot produce male seeds) Some people say it's 100% female seeds, others say 95%... I still haven't figured out that one.

Hermie = hermaphrodite

This is when a plant produces both female flowers and male pollen sacks. The plant will then pollinate itself and make seeds.

Yup. The seeds are not semi-femmed or partially femmed...but truly femmed.

If no male chromosomes were present (from a male) for pollination, the only percentage it could be, biologically, is 100%. If anyone quotes a different number, they are full of bat guano.

Luvmymeds: Under 'normal' growing conditions, I'd say you're right. But since we're refering to stressed-produced seeds...you're not.

If a novice gardener grows quality genetics and finds nanners...the strain isn't a total loss, as I keep hearing. You likely wouldn't want to breed with 'em or sell the seeds commercially, but I wouldn't toss 'em either till I grew a few runs with them in the corner of my growroom, and gained some valuable knowlege. Those beans aren't cheap to replace, and likely the next crop will be fine if previous errors are rectified.

Properly femmed seeds are no more prone to going hermaphridite than any other quality seed. All cannabis I've ever worked with has the ability to self-pollinate.
What is a properly femmed seed...? It's the result of the gardener stressing the lady till she produces the pollen sacks. The only difference between a newbie's femmed seeds as a result of unintentional stress and a breeder purposefully stressing for nanners...is the skill level and the ability to properly care for the next crop of genetics.
Stressing the hermie of a hermie's hermie is a bad idea, though. It reinforces the plants latent ability to go hermie, back-crosses the latent ability into the gene pool. The results...a hair-trigger response to stress. (unstable genetics)

Hey yo Bigtops, Hows it going? No, I did not do a log this time. Ill do one when i get everything situated an organized. Ya they were all females, I belive that it was more of the LKB that stressed them to seed. That kool bloom i think was a lil to strong for them. And my conditions was not close to perfect to, so I just hope theses seeds turn out good for me, so this will not be a complete loss to m3.

I just had some PPP, mis, and some sativa,indica, sativa/indica plants that I got from different dank nugz. But I think it was the kool bloom that did it since all of them seeded around same time. And they was all different types of plants/seeds.

But what is the plans Bigtops you gonna start a new grow.?

Sounds like you'll have plenty of seeds then, feminized also :D
