My Third Ever Batch, do i have nutrient problems?
Hi people, I'm new here and have a question. I've read lots of threads about def's and nutrient solutions and i cant figure this out. So here it goes:
I have 3 plants (all different, unknows breeds... just got a bag of seeds from a dude who got paranoid) and they're fine, but the tallest one seems to have several of its branches and leaf veins turning red from the top down. the stem itself is still green. Its been doing this since i started flowering. They are all females on the 3rd week of 12/12.
The other two are fine and green. I thought this was just an artifact of the plant storing up nutrients near the buds but people are suggesting its a nutrient problem.
All three get the same solution wich is:
In 0.75 litres of filtered water (ph 7) i have
- 15 mills of 5-2-7
- 1/4 tea spoon of epsom salts
- 1/4 tea spoon of molasses
I give them this every 3rd/4th day and in between i give them 200-300 ml. of filtered water. Soil ph seems to hover around 6.7. Humidity is around 30% (yes, a little dry) and temps are around 25 degs celcius.
Any ideas? Should I be concerned ?
Cheers,

Why do you use Epson salt? Molasses is a source of N as well, do you add that every time or alternate with the nute feeding? In my current log I have plants on page 6 I think that show reddish hues on the leaves from the top down and it happened to be a PH thing for me mixed with possible strain traits.Hopefully things balance out your about two months or so away from being done. Cheers

If i were you id cut the epsom salt. There is a Sticky on using it. But mine had a red in the stems and i tried to find a def. but never really found one. I even had pink flowers on it, i have a couple pics to show you what it did to me. If ya got time open the link in the 3rd one, but all the same plant. You can really see the red in the first pic and iv heard that ''red'' can mean Afghani genetics, but im not sure about this as it could be def. problem too.
Good luck, i did as it stayed red through harvest, :rasta:

its actually not a big deal at all with the red/purple stems most of my plants
always have them and some dont its doesnt really mean shit but yea thats
that salt out

I have red on my plants right now. Figured it out to be a ph issue but this is how they looked. Plants still have slight red on some areas but ph is checked double time now:thumbsup:

I use epsom salts every 3-4 days with the nutes, and water on the days between. I use them because i read that cannabis are very Mg hungry and that the epsom salts also keeps the soil somewhat clean and healthier. I will consult the sticky. Thank you.
Edit: also, i use molasses because i read that it will also add to flavour as well as reinforce the effect of the nutes. I started using molasses with my last batch (a delicious White Rhino) and it turned out extremely well, it tasted almost like water melon.

Btw, the pH i have is around 6.7
I cant for the life of me get it to sink. Tried almost everything last time i grew, so this time i didnt even try (baking soda, lemon juice, citrus nutes etc.)
Ive read that vinegar should work. any experience with it here ? I would want pH below 6.0.
