Which CFL's are the best to use? Flood or regular? I really wanna know cuz I am using 3 diff types of CFl Floods. Ones bright white, soft white, day simulate. Every time i look this up nothing pops up. If someone could shed some light on this issue that would be great here are some pics of my biggest plant.
The type of bulb doesn't matter. Only difference would be the spot light enclosed type might better direct the light where you want it.
When your looking for which color of bulb. You should look for it's kelvin rating, not what color it says you'll see(like cool white, day light...). For growing you want 6500K(best), 5500K(better), 5000K(acceptable). For flower you want 2700K.
If you look at the base of the CFL they usually have the kelvin rating printed on there. :thumbsup:
You might already know this but just in case you use CFL's are good for veg period but you will want to get better lights for flowering other wise you will have a light weight crop.Quote:

sometimes the kelvins aren't printed on the packaging or the bulbs. the description of the light is a reference to the color spectrum.

Headshake you are right the kelvins are not on the package or bulb. every time i bought a bulb i spent 5 mins looking for the damn kelvin label but never found them is there another way i can look this up? Thank you for the compliment Scott.
see the post above. cool white is in the 5500-6500K range. the daylight are in the 2700K range. when you plug the bulbs in you can see the color difference.

Even if the package doesn't state it, if you have the time check out the manufacturer's site for specific details if your still stumped.
