Flowering nutes?

I havent been giving my plant any nutes
its aboout 3 or 4 weeks into flowering and i was wondering if i can start giving nutes to help bud production?
i have some orchid plant food its 19-31-17
i was wondering is this safe to put on my plant?
i know its a stupid question cuz it says orchids. but i was just wondering if it even matters cuz its food?
i dont wanna kill it!

Hey not to beat a dead horse but based on this one bit of info you gave the opinions will be varied and more of a guess. If you kept a log or even continued one of the many other threads for the same grow you have on here there would be less questions to answer from people who need more info to help you.

Like soil/lights/environment and other variables. Simply thing to say without any of that info is ease into feeding if you haven't up to this point. Some strains hate anything other then good soil and PH'D water like Mandala's Hashberry as an example. Using different nutes for the different parts of the plants cycle is nice because you then can do things like promote more budding sites or stronger healthy root mass. You being 3-4wks in flower won't be doing that by starting to feed now obviously, but you will be able to max out what potential the plant may have based on its condition now.

I would dilute the stuff your trying to use at least in half if not more and slowly feed your lady. It would really help to see what the leaves and buds look like at the stage your at. Mine are about to be in wk 4 of flower and have already shown signs of ripening for their life cycle like yellowing slightly can be normal for some strains. I wouldn't want to shock or stress what you have at this point because if you throw it out of wack you might be cutting it close to not having time to bring it back in order and flush out nutes etc before harvest. Snapping and crackling herb is not healthy..not to worry you just saying that's what I would think about overall before you over think and do anything with nutes with little to no experience in your 3-4wk of flowering. Check my last log out if you need a good laugh or example of a plant going into nute lockout and running out of time to make changes.

Its kewl you keep asking questions it shows you care about what your doing but if you log it you will be able to look back to the things you have encountered and learn from that and the help people have offered and maybe someone else can learn by reading and watching your log. What kind of soil are you using?

Does it have nutrients in it?

When was your last transplant?

For the best results, stick to nutrients designed for cannabis like Fox Farms. However it's possible to use general nutrients. You can always look at the Fox Farms feeding schedule and compare the NPK ratios of their products to what you have or can find.

Your plant looks pretty good, a little stretched and showing signs of N deficiency, but only minor. Frosted gave good advice, start with a small dose and see how she reacts. If the tips of the leaves begin to burn, you gave too much.

Hey, pics say tons! That plant is either going to take a long ass time to finish or it wasn't vegged for long or it had issues that slowed it before you flowered based on what it looks to me. I hope the next burst of growth is a good one and it fills out for you.

Can you put some shots of the room/cab your using? Hit that plant with some more lights and gradually use some nutes and assume and hope it's going to be a longer flowering strain 9-10wks (i hope) so you have some growing time left to help it along. It looked very sativa dom and might stretch a little or alot more but it doesn't have much leaves either.

Did you try to take clones of it before flower? If you did then change some things you did on this round to help them with vigor like more soil or better soil in a bigger pot etc. I can't remember what kind of lights and soil you were using but either way your second round will be more fun for you once this one is over, and you get things worked out for setup. Oh and Bigtopfinn's log of two trainwreck's is what made me take the plunge and try indoors and I learned a ton from reading it. Take a peek at his if you have time!

im using 86 watts total
and its in a closet. with a fan blowing so it goes in there a little.
it took a really long time to vegetate because i didnt have much light.
probably a month and ahalf.
but i started when it was proly 9 inches with like 6 or 7 nodes.
then in about 10 days i seen preflowers
and its been about 3 weeks since then.
it shot up pretty fast and the lower two leaves have died and fallen off at the bottom. it started a little yellow and from the tip it turned brown and shriveled up.
i cant say what kind of soil im using. im pretty sure it was just the regular cheep stuff at home depot= i dont think it had any mircial grow in it.
i havent gaven it any nutes at all cuz i figured it didnt seem to need it..
but now im thinking its a good idea so for the buds since its growing so dang slow.
does this plant look young for 3 weeks flowering ?

and no i didnt take a cutting from it..
i should have, because its female,, but im not planning on growing again.
im a girl and need my closet back haha jk but no i didnt plan on growing this.
the seed i had came from who knows where
and it was sooo tiny. i didnt expect it to grow but i planted it outside and then it poped up one day and i took it in.
so i think this grow is pretty dang good seein how i know nothing really and didnt plan on it! but i could use some weed and i have alot of time on my hands.
oh and the pot is tiny. if i were to grow again i would deff use a bigger pot . i think thats why its taking so long.
but i heard its bad to transplant when your flowering..

so anyone think it has potential?
or is it just gunna have those light popcorn buds?
and yor right it doesnt have very many leaves. its got all its fan leaves i never cut it. but its got hairs galore all over.

The punishment for growing illegally for a healthy plant is the same as a sick plant. I would think about that a bit and decide if its too much to risk before even cracking a seed. I was lucky enough to enjoy almost 300 days in jail for one plant.

Since you are beyond that step I would say without adding some lights cfl or hps you will not have much of anything worth the risk In my own personal opinion. Not judging you but 85w ain't going to cut it. The plant can be transplanted now. I would just wait till the soil is somewhat dry and that should help you taking it out of the pot its in now. Then after its in a new pot it should help with the stretching (because it will work on roots)and it may slow (it will) the growth of the budding sites for a little bit. After that you still can invest time and energy into this and get something to smoke but would you want to if its only going to be for this round? The ladies I grew up with never had to get their fingers dirty if they didn't want to, and they still had smoke for no money. Real friends keep each other stocked up if their able.

You can transplant while it's flowering. It's only harmful if you damage the roots (or the plant) in some way, so be very careful if you decide to do so.

It still has potential, but will need much more light. Maybe (at least) twice of that what you are using now.

What kind of lights are you using?

One reason it's so tall and skinny could be that it's reaching for more light. If you are using fluoro's or CFLs, they should be 1-3 inches from the plant, and situated all around it, not just above.

All in all, a good first grow so far :greenthumb:

ok so heres some updates
its been three days and i gave it nutes for 2 days and water today.
i water it everyday because the soil gets dry fastt
but it seems like its doing muchh better
you can see the buds forming already.
i got mixed up in my calendar. its been 4 weeks since i put it in 12/12
and 14 days since i noticed the sex.
so really only 2 weeks into flowering.
hey i think its doing pretty baddass seein how i dont have much light on it.

i put aluminum on the walls because i have flat yellowish paint, figured its better than that. - its not wrinkly and im using fluorescents.
the last pic is 3 days ago.
