Transplant and Change of light
I am currently growing under 2 florescent T12 40w tubes from seed for 2 weeks and am going to transplant into 3 gallon plastic pots. I am also going to change the light source to a 400w MH and 400w HPS.
Would it be ok to do both of these at the same time? Or would it be too much stress for the plants?
Transplant and Change of light
I always keep them under the fluorescents for a few days before putting them under the hps.

Iv seen people change over, but keep the lights away a bit to let the plants get used to the more intense light. Then lower as you see them adjust to there new light:thumbsup:

I just did this exact thing and learned a hard lesson I already knew about but for some strange reason, didn't do. Raise your hps/mh way the heck up. I had my lights 3 feet above the crop and within a day they were all brown and dying. Noticing this I raised the light to about 5 feet above the little girls and 3 days later they are well on their way to recovery.
Moral of the story is. If your plants are at the size where you would transplant them, they're still too young to hit with intense lighting. The transplant itself I doubt shocked the plants at all.
