PH meters
I am in the market for a ph meter. I've already purchased the over the counter ones from lowes and home depot and they don't work(or i just don't know what I am doing) but I've read the instructions 100 times and tried using them 100 times and still no results. LET ME KNOW WHAT WORKS AND WHAT YOU GUYS USE!!! Thanks!:smokin:

PH meters
For something cheap, a Milwaukee pH600 can be had for ~$20 on eBay. Test strips (like litmus paper) are very accurate, but you need to find them in the proper range.
Edit: Don't let the probe dry out or it will be ruined.

PH meters
I've been using a Hanna Red Pen for $45.00 + solutions. I had problems with it at first, but it's been working OK now. Store owner told me that the meter needs to be soaking in the 7.0 solution, up to the line, so the (wick) he called it, stay's moist. Every time I calibrate it, it's pretty close to being accurate. I also double check my readings with API-PH Test kit. Can be bought at any fish store. Reads from 6.0 - 7.8. and seems to be pretty accurate too.
Hope this can help:) :S5:
