I have a desk lamp that use's a high intensity 40w bulb. I looked it up on the Philips site and it said it put out over 800 lumens. Is this a small HID light, if so i thought i could use it. The thing puts out tons of light, but a lot of heat. But if it helps, why not, if the heat is controled?
