k, well i was clearing out my collection the other day and figured id post em on craigslist, i did use 420 cleaner on all pieces to remove residue, now they smell like oranges :):thumbsup::) so i did the lazy thing right and posted it up on craigslist and i get this response from "BOB BOB" :

is it just me being paranoid or is this jhonny law tryin to be slick, i dont know why else they would put im 16 fyi. im not stupid i know that its illegal to sell tobacco products to minors, so this almost appears to be entrappment. Well you don't want to be breaking the law, so tell him you can't sell to a minor. No need to get your nuts out and risk him biting them on you.

On his Yahoo profile he says 19, so I'de play it safe and not sell to him because he's lying somewhere.

I've had people do that to me as well. I used to brew a lot of beer at home. I hurt my back and couldn't deal with lifting all the buckets full of water and grain anymore - too heavy now. So I listed the stuff for sale on several home brewing forums and locally on craigslist.

I had people sending emails through craigslist telling me they were under 21 and offering to buy the equipment. I don't know the exact law about home brewing, but I know you have to be 21 in this country to purchase alcohol or consume alcohol - so when johnny law sent me an email asking if I'd sell to a minor I just told him it was already legally sold to an adult over the age of 21.

I am always cautious of those types of emails. I also keep saltwater corals in my home aquarium and I sell them on craigslist for extra cash. I get emails from people asking me for illegally imported corals. Anybody in this hobby knows there's certain corals from certain oceans that you cannot import - it's illegal to collect them, transport them, import them into this country and sell them here. Everybody knows it.

So when johhny law sends me an email asking for illegal corals - I just tell them all my corals are legally imported and tank propagated by me.

They really do think we're stupid, don't they? :wtf: No sense in getting yourself in trouble over a couple hundred bucks.

Why does learning never take place? How much did you expect to make selling used pipes? HELLO! DON'T SELL THIS SHIT ON CL. God how stupid.

Selling used items on CL is not stupid.
