Ok so I inherited 4 plants and 1 is straight crystally super sticky icky dank and 1-2 are fruity but 1 is leafy and I had to harvest a branch cause it snapped off and it has no smell, and it kind of smells bad like some ditch weed... I have no idea where the seeds came from but is it likely that this was just a bad strain or will the smell come in when curing?
Well my bag seed i grew out this past summer didnt really have a smell to it and even nothing after harvest/cure, but couch lock for sure. The weed it came from sucked. But taken care of, the shit will kick your ass:DQuote:

Well I wouldnt base the performance of a plant by smoking a immature bud that hasnt been flushed of fertalizer.
If the branch you smoked was to early for harvest then the taste, potency, and smell wont be very good.
I would just grow it out and see, it could just be a really slow maturing sativa.
my sativa plants look spindly and shitty when compared to my other strains at week 6 of flower, but if you give them an extra month it makes me never want to grow and indica ever again.
