Why Does Everyone Say Vapes Are Most Effecient?

It was principally because of those claims that I spent $200 on an HerbalAire, and the same amount of pot I used to burn in a pipe gets me only about 2/3s as high.

First I hit it at 280f, then 330f, then 370f then full 400f.

In the videos of dudes using HerbalAires or Volcanoes on YouTube, there's TONS of vapor - but when I do it there's nearly none.

I think there's problems here. Mechanical?

Is the HerbalAire just a bad model?

Try the Volcano and set the temp for 390 F. That's what I use and I get plenty of vapor out of bong load. Just be sure to get every bit of vapor you can even when it gets thin. On the Volcano you can see it in the clear balloon when it gets thinner. But yeah the vape's are gentler and giving your lungs a break. Try the vape on wk days and the pipe on wk ends.

Could possibly be that you are just taking in the THC slower because vaping takes a bit longer. If you pot isn't very potent, you won't get much vapor either. It is also very important that your bud is ground up very very fine.

if you dont get that high, try smoking ur vaped bud could still be sum THC on it

The poster plainly states "the same amount of pot I used to burn in a pipe gets me only about 2/3s as high." the pot is compared unto itself using different techniques. therefore it is the technique in question, and not the pot, and its original strength is not a factor.
It's hard to tell if you are ignorant, or just like making douchebaggy comments. I suspect the later, but if not I hope I cleared things up for you.

I would try the volcano but I haven't $600. $200 is the limit.

I got a grinder with the vaporizer but no matter how much I twist it doesn't actually seem to grind it. :P It does seperate tightly packed stuff though at least.

I'll inhale about six bagfulls as fast as it takes to fill them, which is maybe a minute per. That's as quick as it goes, still seems inefficient and wasteful.

I guess there's nothing to do but try a different vaporizer

Maybe I'm an ignoramus who also likes to make douchebaggy (this word is not in my spellcheck, I must have too old a version) comments. When I first got a vaporizer, I found that some of my pot was of distinctly lower quality than some other, and I think the products of combustion complicated the comparison prior to using the vape. So my post was actually based in fact, and intended to be helpful. Is your holier-than-thou thing just an attitude you copped with me because of my obvious deficiencies, or are you that way with everyone? "Unto?" Really?

I was extremely happy with my Herbalaire :thumbsup: , but, like all vaporizers, (Volcano, too), you can smoke the leftover 'duff', and still get high ... that makes it very obvious, that all the THC is NOT being released :wtf: ... the primary reason for a vaporizer, is to save your lungs from possible harm ... in fact, my doctor's recommendation specifically states my pot is to be "vaporized or ingested" ... regardless, I definitely prefer joints ... :smokin:
