I have some new plants that have the bigest starter leafs I have ever seen
I think its indica but not sure the seed came from a dead professor. I would like to know if it is indica or sativa and if its the biggest leafs you have seen starting off. also i would love any advice on starter nutrients that can be obtained at a store not off the web or a cannabis magazine. and no i have no idea of the strain i would ask but hes dead and this was his private seed bank. the first leaf pic is bigger than a pack of top pappers.

im pretty sure its indica dominant. short fat leafs mean its indica dominant. long skinny leafs mean its sativa:) u can use cfl lights for the veg. but i suggest getting a hps light for flowering
you deffenatly have enough of cfl lights. they should veg well. although. if ur going to flower with cfls i would get more. the more wattage the more bud they produce.

sometimes it can be an overwatering problem, but they look good in the pics, just let them dry out between waterings.
You'll want to seperate those into different pots asap though, otherwise you won't be able to a all.

If you are going to use those lights you should go to 12, and 12 cycle right away to keep the plants short and close to the bulbs. You also need a cover to reflect light back down on the plants. A large box painted flat white with lights attached to the lid would work much better, as mirrors actually lose a lot of light.

It looks very much to me to be an afghani strain. I'v got about ten or more going and they look very much like yours.

Check these out! I'm new at this and was wondering if you've identified your plants. How did they come out? Mine are only 5 inches tall, but they're 15 inches across! The first two sets of leaves are hanging outside of the 5 gallon bucket they're in! Is this normal?

I don't think this has been stressed well enough yet so...
ONE PLANT PER POT!!!
No exceptions. Unless you want to kill your crop.

Your plants are showing signs of overwatering. It's most likely because you already have them in 5 gallon pots... too soon for such a big container. The water is likely just hanging out in the massive amounts of extra soil. try and get those in their own 2 or 3 gallon buckets and water them with a schedule - once every couple days. It's okay to let the soil dry up! cannabis prefers it!
