Outdoor sativa beginning to flower in December
hey there, I sowed some bagseed earlier in the season (U.K) and i now have 2 plants that are each about 1m tall. I grew the plants in the only place i could which was a very dark corner in between 2 walls where there's a gap of about 1.5m. The plants stretched up towards the light and seemed to benefit from the heat given off from the walls. I had to do a load of topping and LST to keep them as low as i could, I was checking the plants for flowers and saw that they both have a pistils coming out of top buds. the winter is here now and there was some frost so i moved them into a house where they get very little sun from a small skylight. Does anyone think i'll get anything smokable off the females and why were they so late to flower? isnt it weird for a weed plant to flower 2 months after most strains?

It probably just flowered because it finally matured enough to flower. Sounds pretty cool how it survived between the walls as you speak. If it gets light and stays warm enough it should give you a few grams, but that's with minimal care, I mean if you put it under a big lamp and timer and the whole works maybe you'd get something worthwhile. But even with all that you still got months to go. It's a cool story.

Thanks man, they're actually doing surprisingly well, the buds are very leafy but you can see a few pistils shooting out here and there and i'd say they have at least another month to go, I'll put up some pictures when i have some bud worth showing.

i would be surprised if you only got a month to go probally longer, they may have started to flower late due to lack of direct sunlight or you said you kept topping them this may have slowed things down.or maybe you planted to late,i useally start in april/may buy yourself a few cfl lights you need red light for flowering so warm cfl bulbs but you will need a few.best of luck mate:thumbsup:

CFLs arent really an option, (problem with electricity) so what kind of an outcome can i expect from two females that are recieving nothing but the dim winter sunlight through a small skylight?? If i get 7g's off each i'll be happy, its probably goin to be shit weed so i was thinking of just waiting til harvest then throwing the lot into a bottle of acetone to make some hash
