my quick review of dxm

that kind of sucked.

last night, life was not going so well for me. i had a feeling my g/f isn't interested in me anymore(i havent taken any substances for three months, so im in boring, normal person mode), and this plan to smoke some weed with this guy fell through. but i still wanted to get fucked up, and i had twenty bucks to burn. i stopped by my local supermarket and bought two 4oz bottles of robo max strength, a bottle of B6, and a box of honey bunches of oats.

got home, began the drinking process. i made some echinacea tea and drank it in between sips of robo to counter the taste. drank one bottle, waited half an hour, and choked down another half a bottle. slowly. i waited.

i felt a buzz. my coordination was going, it was hard to focus my eyes on one thing. i got online and started posting topics on the forums here. my mom appeared(she's an insomniac) and notified me of daylight savings time. it was disappointingly easy to talk to her.

i went back to my room. walking was getting harder and harder. the body high was there. i didnt feel dissociated, but i did have some weird feelings about my body - i spent about ten minutes marveling at my hands, and how they were like separate beings and maybe someday they're detach from our bodies and become a whole new species. then, i remembered that dxm trips work best in darkness.

first i choked down as much robo as i could, which wasn't much. i jumped in bed, pulled the covers over me, faced down into the pillow, and close my eyes. and thus began the trippiest part of the trip. i immediately saw endless, flowing black-and-white fields of grain that decayed and renewed before my eyes. i watched this for a while, then quickly opened my eyes and threw the covers off. reality suddenly had a much trippier quality than before; my hands were leaving trails. i repeated this process a few times, each time seeing different patterns under my closed eyes.

i turned off the lights. it was dark except for two sources of light: the window, and an orange light on this fan/heater that showed the heater was plugged in but not turned on. this orange light started having fun. it flew around, grew huge, divided into two, bounced around, etc. while it was doing this, the entire rest of the room flowed in waves, sort of following the light's movements, as if the room were attached by strings to the light. this went on for a while... but strangely enough, no big mental changes were going on. i wasn't getting any insights of revelations, which is odd because i get those even with a few hits of shwagg. also, my sense of hearing was completely normal. i get more music euphoria with weed.

eventually the effects started to wear off - i no longer saw anything when i closed my eyes - and i was disappointed it lasted such a short time. this was about 5 am, and i set my alarm for 8 because i was making crepes for this brunch my family was having at 11. i fell asleep. interesting but vague dream. i was talking to this really hot turkish girl on MSN, and she was making it really, really obvious she wanted to fuck me. so she came over, and... i dont remember what happened. :(

woke up at 8. somehow, in my dizzy, almost-drunk state, i made the crepe batter. flopped down on my bed, went to sleep. was woken up by my mom asking if i was going to the brunch. i groaned a no. she asked if the batter was ready. i groaned a yes. fell asleep again. woke up. and here i am.

in conclusion... dxm is definetly not a "doing shit" drug. i wish i had gone in the dark earlier. i'll remember that next time... if there is a next time. it wasn't that worth it. i took enough for a third plateau trip, and that was NOT a third plateau trip. i'm a lightweight btw. maybe i took it too gradually. i dunno.

drugs in general dont have that big of an effect on me. i think i'll stick with weed.

If you want extreme burning pain , eat lots of celery seeds and paprika and hold on the next day.

If your mixing drinks or cooking for someone you don't like, put ground celery seeds and paprika in each drink. It's a legal mickey.

I have never been able to enjoy DXM very much. Sure, it fucks you up, as in me laying with my eyes closed for a couple hours feeling dead and then getting up and feeling drunk and confused.

i guess dxm just isn't for some people.

odd thing happened today, tho... there's this dog that lives next door that always runs up to me furiously barks at the top of its lungs as i pass by, until i'm far out of its line of sight. today, i was sitting on the porch, enjoying the sun and letting it heal my lethargic hangover, when the dog came over and sat down right in front of me, letting me scratch it. and my cats seem to like me more today. maybe dxm has an effect on animals.

The lethargic hangover goes good with a bowl or two.
