Is anyone conviced Iran is intimidated or gives two shits what Obamao has to say? Pretty clear their bets are on he will be gone in 3 years so they better get to it.

Yesterday Iran said they were moving forward on an additional 10 nuclear facilities. Tomorrows West Point speech ha dbetter be fiery or this administration will go into free-fall mode.
I think we'll see an intensification of media coverage on Iran...just like we seen before the Iraq invasion.... then 'BAM' Go the Israeli air strikes.....on these facilities... It would be interesting to see what the repercussions of such action would create though....maybe a wider conflict? I dont know...If the UK got pulled into it they would definately have to bring back national service (the draft)!
Iran's pretty covered from both sides by masses of NATO & mostly US troops already in Iraq & Afghanistan....

I've Just been reading the article.... Look at how it is worded.....

the men, who were snatched from their racing yacht in the Gulf (snatched?)
may have 'inadvertently strayed' into Iranian territorial waters (They obviously did)
The programming in the article so far is that Iran's revolutionary guard patrol thier waters ready to snatch and take hostage anyone who comes near..... I'll read on

The worst case scenario would see the sailors charged with espionage, handing the regime in Tehran (regieme?.... not Iranian Government then?)
The fear is that the hostages have been taken by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard - the powerful hardline group behind Iran's nuclear weapons programme - which held the Navy personnel two years ago.
What fear? It already states in the HEADING that Irans Revolutionary Guard has detained the sailors.....
(Nuclear weapons programme? :wtf:) This is implying that (a) Iran has a nuclear weapons programme (b) There is a 'powerful' 'hardline' group behind the programme.... (the same guys who wait for any opportunity to 'snatch' 'kidnap' and take 'hostage' anyone who inadvertently strays into thier waters?)
The kidnap comes at a time of growing tensions with Iran over its nuclear weapons programme.....
(again inciting that Iran has a Nuclear Weapons Programme)..... they have however stated thier enrichment of uranium is to provide power only and there is no evidence they are actively seeking to make nuclear weapons....
(there is however about as much evidence that Iraq had W.M.D'S!) and look what happened threre.....
Earlier this year President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad proclaimed that Britain was a worse enemy of Iran than the United States....

I think if Obama doesnt seriously confront Iran...because he has done what he said and tried to have a dialogue with them, and they have slapped him in the face everytime......Israel, for their mere existance, will attack Iran to save their homeland from a nuclear attack from Iran.Quote:

Perhaps a full on Naval Blockade of Iran might yield results...I mean the leadership is already weakend from the election and riots....there is a HUGE shadow govt there with many supporters and followers...stopping the flow of alll goods into Iran would for sure cause some unrest.....we need to provoke them into taking back their own nation from these mad religous psychopaths.

I just hope it doesnt escalate and drag the rest of the world into a wider conflict as a result.... That would be a real tragedy :(
Although if you keep close track of the media stories on Iran and pay particular attention to the content... It seems we are being prepared for another conflict...with Iran being the new 'bogey man' on the block....
With our current economic climate, Irans abundance of valuable resources and War being good for business.... who know's what will happen...:(
