I am looking for opinions on this for my next grow. My Medium would end up being rockwool cubes and grow space will be 2'dx4'wx5'h. Thanks in advance to the opinions

How tall is that setup, and how high can you get your light (and what kind is it)?
If you've got enough height....
That looks like ebb and flow. The thing is to get the pipes coming up right. the pump pipe is on the bottom of the tray and the water drains back through it when the pump is off. The other is and over flow. This keeps the water at the level you want it no matter how long the pump runs.
Pump on, tray flow up to over flow with water.
Pump off, water ebbs back into rez.
Timing sounds about right.
Thats pretty close to the way mine is made. large rubbermaid tub for bottom rez and top tray is just smaller capacity and fits right on top of rez. Didnt use any RW this last run, just clones inside Rapid Rooters and then right into the tray with Hydrotron only
with your l.e.d set up only flood once a day.right when the lights come on "depending on the size of your r.w" it will hold a lot of water.u would need to flood more oftern if u were using a hps system or another medium that doesnt retain water.if u need more add another 15 min cycle.
I see, sounds better. I would probably be using 3-5" CubesQuote:

I use the smaller pond pumps right from Lowes and they work great.
hydro farm brand there 9.99 each at any hydro store.
and right in my price range, lol, no qualms with my design or sizings on the tubs?Quote:
