should've added that the girls are on their 52nd day of flowering in soil under two 150 HPS lights. here's a few more pics.
Looks too young, brah!
Those trichs are crystal clear and smallish.
They should look more like;

Here's a tip.
Before you cut, expose it to about 4 hours of natural sunlight.
Then cut, dry, and cure.
You will be very glad you did.
Aloha, Weezard
Weezard,
thanks for your reply, man. So you think I'm way off from being ready to chop in 10 days? that would make it nine weeks flowering on the CH9 girls (supposed to flower between 7-8 weeks, but i know, it can vary depending on the conditions).
also, why do expose to 4 hours daylight? exposure to uv? just curious.
thanks again

It's much more pronounced with LEDs but HPS users can benefit too.

Weezard,
thanks for the encouraging news re: trich cloudiness.
i've started to flush with clearex, should i stop?
also, i've heard some banter on the forums about putting the plants in complete darkness three day prior two the chop. Sounds pretty stressful, good/bad?
:hippy:
I can advise, that banter is, for the most part useless, and to some degree, downright harmful.Quote:

As for the darkness myth?
I'd advise a side by side for folks with a surplus of meds in the jar.
Two clones.
One plant gets 3 days of dark, one does not.
Label, chop, dry, cure, try.
Then, come back and tell us dat you KNOW sumpin' 'bout a myth.
Heard sumpin' and read sumpin' is not the same as KNOW sumpin'
Know what I mean?:)
Always happy to share what I know, but I try not to advise on thing I have not actually done first hand.
Got any portrait shots?
Aloha

I'll second that.Quote:

Course not!
I've seen plants flushed for 4-5 weeks, no problem. When they start starving they use up the fan leaves, starting with the oldest and lowest on the plant. Makes for a deceptively smooth smoke. :madnoel:
Never tried Clearex. I've flushed with distilled water with a drop of dishwashing detergent per gallon as a surfactant. Sucks 'em dry! I generally replenish Ca/Mg a bit, though...
Weezard,
thanks for your considerate reply. I will certainly keep a watchful eye on the girls and let them go til they're ready. In the meantime here are a few recent headshots and a wide shot from a few days ago. Things seem to have frozen over considerably since then... will post new pics tomorrow.
love ma ladies!:pimp:
thank you Weezard for your advice. Taking into consideration your point about constant closet temps. slowing down plant maturation, I've been keeping the closet door open at night to let the cool pacific ocean breeze flow over my girls. It seems to be working. Budz are starting to get a snow like coating of crystals and the trichs are slowly but surely going turning from vodka to white russian. Attached are two recent pics, one at x100 the other at x200
peace!
:)
