Hey everyone,

As you can tell by my name, my mother has MS. If anyone here has a family member with MS then you know what we are going through. It has been a good 10+ yrs now since the first diagnosis and all of the meds she has been given and the shots I have to give her seem to be making things worse.

At the stage she is at now, her emotions are all screwed up or what's left of the emotions and she says a lot of hurtful things (I know she doesn't mean it and I know she can't help it). Her legs are starting to go out more often and a few months ago she fell down the steps.

She's had the same routine for years and now that her muscles are getting weaker and the signal isn't reaching the right place, she doesn't quite know she can't do those things and tries to do the same things day in and day out.

MS is a crazy disease, she'll talk to me and we'll get along fine and everything seems normal, but then you have to remind yourself that they arenâ??t normal. All in all we are dealing with it (Her and I).

The reason I am telling you about all of this is because I have always been a smoker, it helps my depression and it really helps me through all of this with my Mom.

I have always been one to help with the cause of legalization, whether it is a petition or a march.

About a year ago while I was watching videos on youtube, I came across Montel Williams at a rally for medical marijuana. Turns out Montel has MS and the only way he can deal with the pain and other problems associated with it is to smoke.

This is when I got the brilliant idea to use MJ to try and help my mom. The only problem is we don't live in a state that offers or gives access to MMJ, so I did the best I could and got some (mids) which is hard to come by here and I used one of those electric pipes that blows the smoke out.

Needless to say, when my mother smokes I feel like the old her is back. It seemed like a miracle, but when the mids ran out so did the healing. I tried getting her to smoke the street swag that goes around out here (I know it's harsh and I felt bad but I didn't have a choice) but it just didn't work the same.

So with that failing and the mids nowhere in sight I went to the computer and I found a forum that listed places one could order MMJ from through the mail. I tried one of them out and much to my amazement it worked!! I got what I ordered and this was some primo A+ MMJ.

I thought my worries were behind me, my mom was walking better, talking better, eating more, and almost pain free (she could deal with it but it was still there). I knew it was risky to order through the mail but I'd do almost anything for my mom and if it helps her deal with the problem she is facing I would do the time if I knew what I was doing was for her good.

Then one day I sent my order in and I got nothing in return, this wonderful helpful person just decided to take my money. I asked around at the forum I was on to see if anyone else had the same problem and one of the members there suggested that it was over with that person and that I should find another way.

Well I don't have another way to get it and I can't grow it in the apartment I'm in because the penalty for doing that is way worse than having some in my possession. If I get caught with under 30g I get either a month in jail and a 500.00 fine or just the fine (I can be away for a month if I have to be). If I get caught with a plant I get 2-5 years in jail and a 10,000.00 fine (I can't be away for a couple years, who will help my mom).

A few people told me to join this forum, they said that I could learn a lot here, and that there would be people dealing with MS or people who had MS that could help me figure out how to stop a lot of the problems associated with the MS.

The MMJ worked miracles for my mom, and for a bit there I thought I could see a glimmer of hope in her eyes, that's all but gone. I knew she had given up years ago and I know it probably won't ever change but I want my mom back. I want her to smile again, be happy again, be a mother again. I know she does the best she can but I just need help dealing with it.

I know that there are people a lot worse off than my mother, especially with cancer and other deadly diseases, and I in no way want to offend any of you. I know my mom is lucky to even be alive.

This is just one person's struggle with a system that would rather make money off of the pharmaceuticals that don't work, than give access to a plant that grows freely and helps so many.

I was told that most likely I got the first few small orders because they send small amounts to new clients to build up their trust and that once I placed the large order they just took my money. So I figure if I seem like a new client again maybe they will send it to me to build up that trust again??

It's worth a shot to me because I know it works, what they sent the first few times worked miracles and I can't stand to see her in pain, just typing all of this make my eyes water. Screw the propaganda, screw the good for nothing do gooders who think they know everything, screw all those people who think they know whatâ??s best for my mother.

I know what works, make it legal, and stop the suffering!!!!!!!

I would suggest relocating to a medical marijuana state.

I know that sounds harsh but consider this:

With the MMJ your mother is on the road to recovery
Without it she is on road to ....?

If it is a life changing thing (the mmj) than it might be worth it to relocate!

Yeah, we've talked about it but the change is just too much. Not to mention where we live the cost of living is low. I have a great job here with a lot of years in and it's just me supporting the household. I have a fear that I might not be able to find a job as good as the one I have here.

The other factor is the insurance and state assistance we get here, I would have to go through all of the red tape again just to be able to afford the meds we need. If you have ever gone through all of this you understand. It took us forever to be able to get a nurse to the house while I'm away at work.

If it was an option, I would do it in a heart beat. Lord knows we need to.

The mail order system is extremely illegal and easy to catch people with, so stay away from that. Its likely they sent the package, and it was caught by dogs at one of the mail distribution places. Ordering through the mail puts you, your money and the sender in jeopardy, so don't do it. If you can't relocate, your best bet is to grow your own. That way you know the source, and it takes you out of the dangers of dealing on the street with the"black market" kinds of people. If you are worried about the penalties associated with cultivation, just don't get caught! :thumbsup: Realize they aren't gonna actively come looking for you for growing a plant or two for your sick mother; you would have to make it extremely easy for them to do so. All you have to do is not tell anyone about it, and not sell it to anyone. Very easy to do. My advice would be to not do it in an apartment though, I have seen too many news stories where other people in the apartment smell it and call the cops, or the hydro system leaks into the apartment below when you aren't there and they have to come in and fix it and find it, etc. Its just too risky for an apartment, so you'd still have to relocate to a house, but it really is your best option.
