Update: The Board of Health meeting on medical-marijuana - Denver News - The Latest Word
Update, 11:44 a.m. It's all over, but not without a fight.
The meeting began at 11:30 a.m., when board of health members began discussing a wording change, says Westword staffer Joel Warner, who was inside the hearing. Then they voted unanimously to do so.
But when they announced that they wouldn't be taking public comment, the meeting quickly devolved into a shouting match between attorney and medical marijuana advocate Rob Corry and Glenn Schlabs, the chairman of the Board of Health, who was not at the meeting, but on the phone via teleconference.
Corry eventually backed off when Schlabs told him he was out of order and police began to walk toward him. Corry, who was soon surrounded by TV cameras, eventually declared the entire proceeding illegal and told Schlabs he would see him in court.
The meeting adjourned at 11:38, but most of the crowd remained.
Stay tuned to the Latest Word for analysis from Warner this afternoon.

good question!
imo, someone is gonna get busted and it will play out in the courts. whoever does the busting, is going to be embarrassed. the momentum in the community is big.
Something as simple as educational services would suffice to be providing 'other' services. This could be done via a website offered by the dispensary. Articles about ailments and related strains, how to cook, local events, links out to other wellness services and a Q&A place where patients could ask public or private questions of the caregiver/dispensary. This could be a service to dispensaries where other providers fill the educational aspect, so dispensary owners don't need to do it themselves...
They've not provided enough guidance as to what caregiver services are for anything to not be enough, nor has the amendment listed anything... The next step could be relationship management. But really, I think this will go to the Court in short order, and the public will not be pleased.
I'm beginning to thing Stan Garnett would be a great replacement for Suthers. We need to use our numbers to let our voices be heard in the public forum. This is complete bs, and we need legislative help. Hopefully they can hold back the dogs until that has the chance to happen... What they are forcing is closer relationships in the MMJ community, and that... will only make us closer and stronger as a political force.

If I was a cop, I'd be pretty hesitant to put much effort into any pot case. With this latest foray by the dept of health into rulemaking, the law in Colorado re possession of mj is so vague and unsettled, barring a trip to the local elementary school to offload a couple lbs. I don't see any way to pass constitutional muster with any charges against anyone with a license. I'm being facetious of course, but from either side, it's pretty hard to know what the law really is.

no they are using this "closer relationship" just to get there foot in the door to start trying to break us down bit by bit.they don't care how close a caregiver is to his patient.they just want to use that as an excuse to chop the law to bits just u watch.

I think you assume far too much competence on the part of government. They don't know what the hell they are doing, let alone have a plan.
