Whats wrong with these plants?!?
Hi, Currently on my 3rd week of veg. Had some problems in the begining and thought I fixed it but now the leaves look like they have nute burn. Anyone know what this is?
Also when I measure my PPM and PH I put the pen right into the resevoir. Is that correct? Because when I put it in just the cap of the PH pen it reads totally different.
My PPM right now is 645; my PH is 5.6 and my water temp. is 70.5
Any help would be great thank you.

Is it just the bottom leaves that are getting the weird spots on them?
And a little tip burn is ok, that just means you know that she's taking as much as she can. A lot of people run their grows a little tine bit hot just so they know they are pumping her full of nutes

fill out the trouble shooting form (can be found in plant problem area) and post here so we can help. need more info than just ph, ppm and temp. like what nutes are you using and grow media and such. Almost looks like a Mag def but I dont want to guess.

I am seeing the spots on mine also. only on the northernberry but not the skunkberry?? week one of flower after 4 wks veg.
am also using GH 3 part, on hydroton pellets and after adding Mg. thinking it was that, not!
so now I think its a K lockout, due to not carfull mixing of nuits. all three parts need diluted into a volume of plain water before combining them in the right order. if after this last drain and refill(today) this doesn't solve it I am clueless
unless the formula on the bottle just doesnt supply enough K
I will be watching this thread also

been using GH 3-part for year and a half and have never had spots like those. Nute mix i use is 5/5/5 (ml per gal of micro-grow-bloom mixed in that order in a gal water jug) during veg, half that for newly rooted clones, and 1 drp ST per gal. First 2 weeks of flower change to 5/2.5/10 and do not use ST during flower. starting 3rd week change to 5/0/10 until 2 weeks before harvest. at that point go 2.5/0/5 for 1 week and then 1 week of plain PH water. PH runs about 5.8 during entire grow.

ph and tds meters go directly into the water.have u inspected for bugs?
Whats wrong with these plants?!?
Ya I checked for bugs and there aren't any... Do u think i need to add some more cal-mag?? The leaves have goldish, copperish type of spots on them

Just some advise. I tried many different ways to grow and the bubble buckets and the aero setups /w the clay is a pita if your not spot on with nutes. IMO I believe you have a nute problem. Best thing to do is change the resivior(new nutes 1/2 strength). I like big resiviors. This helps with plants not making sudden changes... With 1/2 strength nutes you can always kick it up if they are growing slowly. As the plant uses the nutes and evap happens your nute solution will get stronger (not good if your dosing full strength on mfg lable). Also topping the resivior with fresh ro is very important. The #1 reason i don't like these setups is you have to contantly check these till you get spot on. I would advise a larger resivior cause its easier to keep the nutes at the right level for longer than 2-3 days. I would get away from the buckes and go to cocomix just my opinion. Good Luck.
