New farmer in need of a little help!

hi:) this is my first post so forgive a newbee! This is my first growing experience and I think i have a problem:(

i just purchased a "superlocker" system and I have my first clones growing. they are about 8 inches tall, but am unsure of their exact age.
I have a Citrus Haze plant but it seems the leaves are turning yellow. not from the edges inward but from the "inside out". And it seems more to keep to the new growth as opposed to overtaking the old growth.

I keep the ph around 5.7-6.0 and I'm using General Hydroponics nutrient solution. I'm pretty sure I followed the instructions to a T making the nutrient solution. The light that I'm using is a 150 watt full spectrum high lumen bulb (i think from sun system). To be honest I have not yet purchased a meter to detect the EC level but am unsure of how important that is. (it could be my problem even:)

The only other thing that I should probably add, is that at first I was worried that 150 watts wouldn't be enough (i thought i read once that "light is everything") and so i lowered the light to about 18 inches above the plants for maybe 3 days. I did a little research (how i found this site) and someone with a similar issue was advised maybe the lights were too close. (why i moved mine back up to about 3 feet above:) it's maybe been two days since I moved it back up and I'm not sure if I see any changes or if i even should.

Sounds like the citrus may need more nitrogen. I like using Miracid during veg.
What type of light is it, hps,cfl hid?
!50w you should be able to get it within a foot atleast.

You posted this in the "Feedback on how the website works" area. You might wanna repost the question in either "plant problems" or "hydroponics" where more people will see it. As soon as it quits getting bumped TTT your post will be lost and not answered. :(

There is a "troubleshooting form" somewhere, might be stickied in the "plant problems" forum. Fill that all out as best you can and your chances of getting additional help will be greatly improved. :thumbsup:

My first thought is possible problems from plunging a fresh clone into full-strength nute concentration. :eek: But I don't really have enough details to try to guess. pH could be just a tad lower, too, but it shouldn't really be causing any noticeable problems where you have it.

With an EC pen you can check water hardness, and subtract that from TDS to calculate your nute concentration. Get a cheapie for $20 if you're running hydro, otherwise you can only guess about a lot of important things. :thumbsup:

hey, when clones start to root the leaves start to yellow some; just spray them with a 1/4 strenght solution of nurts. wait a few hours then spray again with plain water. this way you replace nitrogen that the plants are in need of. one more thing get the ec meter it's a must have item and then change the reservoir ; this way you will be sure all is well. hope this helps. peace
