Using rooting Hormone on 1 week old seedlings

Hey guys. Just looking for some opinions, thoughts, go for it advice, probably shouldnt advice, you know lol. I have done this twice, and the first one died, shriveled up and died like the next day or day after. This one isnt looking much better.

Basically I think i over watered them, 2 seedlings just didnt start up like the rest did, the roots barley started off, actually, nearly didnt at all. The plant was about an inch in total, they popped up threw the dirt, but for the next 2-4 days stayed the same size, with the first set of single leaf leaflet appears, they stayed small. So I have applied root hormone to the small root end of this living plant, I changed the medium, and I barley watered with a spary mister. Its been under a humidity dome for almost 2 days, it has angled towards the light which I like, but the circle very first leaves that show out of shell are dead, they have dried up, this also happened to the other plant. I dunno. These seeds I got from the attitude were shit, they were all small, and I dunno, would anyone recomment complaining or something.
