When should I harvest???????

Hi all, need help...I have GH Big Bang seven weeks at 12/12 in bubbleponic system, buds and everything are looking BIG.when will I know when they are ready? First timer if ya all cant tell!!!! [attachment=o229094]

Judging from your pics..at least 2 - 3 more weeks..maybe longer.

Wait until new bud growth has slowed to a crawl and at least 50% of the pistils (hairs) have started to turn orange/red on the plant..or whatever color yours turn from white. (can be pink or purple too..color means they are drying out and no longer viable for pollen) Calyx's (where the pistils come out of) should also be swollen and plump instead of small and flat and covered in juicy THC glands (glandular trichomes), if checked with a magnifying glass or jeweler's loupe the THC glands should be turning from clear to more of a milky color, but not more than 50% of them, and not dark brown or bursting or oozing over. Although you can let it go longer for a more couchlock and sleepy sedative buzz and vice versa harvest earlier when still all clear glands for a more up and soaring buzz. Best bet is when they are around 50% cloudy on the plant for the best of both worlds. As THC ages, it degrades.

In about another 10-14 days if they are close to finish you should be giving them plain RO water only for the last 3-5 days before harvest and flushing any remaining nutrients out for a cleaner, smoother smoke and letting all the large fan leaves yellow and fall off which is a natural part of the maturation process and makes manicuring easier too. If you feel like harvesting them and think they are ready anytime soon, stop yourself and wait another 2 or 3 days, then harvest. Biggest mistake any grower can make at this point in your journey is harvesting too early and the strain you are growing is around an 8 -10 weeker depending on several factors like set-up, lighting, and nutrition..after all this time don't rush it, they save the best for last! :hippy: :jointsmile: Good luck, let us know how it goes!

i bought a little magnifyer that does it 100x and the trichs still look clear, just getting little excited now as they are bout 4 foot tall and fat. but as you say just be patient, and i will, :jointsmile:

Good thinking grasshoppa, spoken like a true champion! I'm sure you are going to get some fantastic medicine from the looks of that nice big cola. Maybe show us a picture of the whole plant if possible? Right now I hope you are using a bloom booster high in P/K and very low if any nitrogen...I definitely want to see more close-up pics as they mature..the final weeks are amazing as they really pack on the resin, flavor, & potency. What is your set-up like?

i will get some pics on later freedaherb, my set up was a 60/60/140 tent but my ladies way out grew it, so had to make a make shift room roughly same size just made it taller but works really well,:clap: i have a 250 hps light and a couple of fans. i also have grown them in my home made bubbleponic system. quite proud as never grown before this is first time and all seems well,just want to enjoy the fruit of my hard work. ha ha ha ha:bigsmoke:
