Cookies In Freezer Losing Strength?
Do peanut butter & chocolate cookies lose strength in a freezer. When I made them 1 month ago 1 cookie gave a wonderful high. Now they seem to be losing strength and it takes more cookies for same high. I followed recipe that used 1/2 cup cannabutter. I froze in plastic freezer bags.
Peace, PIP

Yup, your cookies are losing their potency.
A friend of mine once made a phenomenally potent (but absolutely nasty) batch of brownies. I ate half of a small brownie and slid into a 6-hour rolling greyout (with lucid dreams and everything). I froze the remainder of the brownies, then unfroze them a couple of days later. The unfrozen version of the high was lame.
Another friend made a batch of super dank cookies and had the giddiest high I'd had since I first started smoking. We stored the uneaten portions in a Tupperware with some stems and shake. I forgot about the cookies for about three months. The cookies were still moist! They smelled funny, but seemed okay â?? even though they were much greener than I had remembered (but they were definitely not molding). After a minor inner dialogue about the potential dangers of eating very old cookies that had retained their moistness when, all science and logic demanded they should not have, I ate the remaining four cookies. The high I got from those cookies was grade-A.
What was the point of my stories (other than reminiscing)? In my experience, frozen goods lose their potency. Tupperwared goods, stored along with some shake and stems, can take on a new meaning. In the spirit of science, I have stored many a cannagoods with stems and shake in Tupperware and have almost always reproduced the initial high. Though, I always make sure to store the Tupperwares in a dark, cool place. I do not know the science behind it, but most frozen-then-unfrozen goods I have had have been lame. With the exception of a nasty salty butter "ice cream" I made, that gave me a consistent body high even when I finished it off a week later.
Bottom line: don't freeze the goods.
