First Time Grower - Am I ready to harvest?

Hey yall, Im a first time grower...we have 2 females, both about 6ft tall, budding like crazy all over! Im very proud of my ladies!!:)

I am pretty sure they are a sativa strain...of what exactly I do not know. I got the seeds from a local grower who usually has only sensimilla but occasionally he will get a few seeds. Great bud nonetheless.

As a first time grower, I know the basics of when to harvest, but everyday my girls look better and better and I just want to make sure I do not harvest before they reach their maximum potency. I attached a few pictures for you all to take a look at, and hopefully someone can guide me in the right direction with some good advice.

By looking at the trichromes the best i could in the picture, they all still seem to be clear or cloudy. Looks like a few more weeks at least.:jointsmile:

Grab a x5 magnifying lens/glass if you have you have sharp eyes,but most prefer a x20.

I cant for the life of me remember where I found this post explaining trich coloring to type of high,so hopefully im right:
100% milky is a more motivating,uplifting head high
100% clear is a pretty alright smoke but not what you want
25% amber is a pretty good body high,at this point you want to harvest right away as the thc is just degrading and losing potency.

Plus how long have they been in flowering?

can you whate to long? milk? col/of hears?:wtf:

let those things fatten up a bit too, your harvest will be tiny if those are the nugs your cut.....

Looks to me like they are in the beginning stages of flowering. I only grow indica strains, but mine usually look like that at about 2 weeks in, meaning you probably have a couple months left at least if they are sativa.

If you cut them now, you will have next to nothing for a yield. The buds lose a lot of mass during the drying process, and from the looks of your pics, you will end up with sticks and a couple puny calyxes per bud site if you harvest at this point. Wait it out for several more weeks, you will be much more satisfied. :thumbsup:

i'm growing Sativa indoor (bad idea) but yeah you have about 5/6 weeks of flowering ahead of ya. good overall light though

does any1 no this strain... and it was my first grow
