Everyone has seen this right, the cops playing someone's Wii while executing search

If I was a betting man, I would say the search warrant was obtained illegally but this story is a few days old so if you haven't seen it, make sure you check this out. This is from Lakeland in between Tampa and Orlando back in March and during the 9 hours these clowns were in the alleged suspect's house some of them took time out from their work to play his Wii bowling. The guy was smart enough to have the foresight to hide a camera in his house. Make sure you watch the web video from the original news broadcast and the raw video in the related links section of the story. One final stupid mistake by the cops allowed this video to be seen.

I'm disturbed that despite what the sheriff says, they are wasting taxpayer money just like many government jobs. Also, the sheriff's excuse for why this wasn't a waste was there is a lot of downtime while serving a warrant and it's a "hurry up to wait" situation. It looks like to me they have a search warrant and it may have even been a no knock warrant. In the raw video about 10 of them come filing through the door at once so it wasn't like they discovered something and went and got a warrant. So with a warrant in hand, why would there be any downtime or a need to hurry and wait. Once you secure the house, you put your head down and work and collect the fruits of your persecution and leave. You don't waste time or even worse just wait. I might be wrong about not having the warrant already but I doubt it.

Sadly, most Americans will believe the sheriff's bullshit explanation.

Polk undercover drug investigators play Wii during raid

i actually just saw this a few days ago. this really grinded my gears. i dont know how many people have been raided here but i have. and the cops are really strange when they raid your pad. i had cops taking pictures with their camera phones of me sitting talking to the investigator, i heard them laughing in my room which had the window open, so i pretty much heard everything they were talking about. though the dumbass hick cops in my town suck at searching a house. they left the volcano base unit, and a grinder, a rolling machine, a rolling tray, and i still had stems and seeds everywhere. i had a dead plant in the room, several in fact, they took those as evidence and didnt charge me with manufacturing, luckily, but when they asked where i got the knowledge for my setup, which was in a box with a reflective windshield cover, i told them blatantly that they didnt look hard enough because it was just under some clothes in the rooms. there were about 20 cops in my house, for maybe 2 hours, and after the first 30 minutes most of it was cleared up, they didnt even check the house all that hard, they just stood around on my property, under the shade of my trees, and shot the bull, while probably making snide remarks about people who use "drugs"

oh, and they went through my movie and game collection and they were strewn about the rooms, i cant be positive but i swear i am missing some movies and games after that day. ive said it to the children of cops, and to cops themselves, fuck da police.
