If you have a plant bout 3 weeks into flower, Could you put it back into vegetation without stressing it to herm.? And how long will it take to start growing/vegging again.? An would you wanna wait to give it a shot of veg nutes or would it be idea to do that right away.?:wtf:
Another thing i thought that during the dark/lightsout this was when majority of root production takes place... Am I right or did I mix something up?:wtf: If I am right tho why would you wanna leave clones under 24 hr light.?:(

Yes. A good flush to release the flowering nutes, and resume normal veg regimen.

Depends on lighting, temps, strain...usually 2 weeks max to start seeing fresh growth.

I've been fighting that argument for years. When rooting clones, we keep the lights raised and try to keep humidity up. Keeping the lights on all night promotes unwanted foliar growth, dries-out the enviornment overnight, and allows no encouragement for rooting.
Some believe that it speeds-up the growth, but I'm not a believer. 18/6 for me throughout veg. :jointsmile:

I have read two of your post this morning and you didn't BASH anyone?Have you turned over a new leaf?OR....Do you only bash when YOU feel your knowledge is being CHALLENGED?I am sure you have tons of experience but...there are different methods that are still ok to use.Medicine plants are a challenge to grow...inside..outside doesn't matter.I have found most people either have it or they don't...My methods are different than yours but are they WRONG?They work for me GREAT!I could come on here and bash everyone of YOUR post but why you are trying to help also! FACE it RUSTY you DONT know everything about growing and neither do I ...That's what makes it fun!I learn something new every day.I might even need and FOLLOW your advice some day that is how this works..... Not always. Sometimes I'm just in the mood. But when one member is trying to kill another members' plants with bad advise disguised as knowledge and experience, I'm all too happy to step-in. Were someone trying to give you bogus advise, I'd react the same way.

I'm pretty sure I never said your growing method or technique was wrong. I said your treatment plan was a half-assed attempt to kill another member's plant, which in the long run, it just may have.

Yes it is possible to clone without the hormones, but a tad more difficult.
The following is from another site:
"Most cloning solutions contain IAA or NAA, which are simulations of natural plant hormones that promote cell differentiation and root growth. A natural cloning solution can be made from "willow water," which is water in which willow shoots have been rooting.
The idea of using a cloning solution is that it promotes or encourages root growth. By supplying hormones to the plants similar to the ones they produce naturally to get roots going, the cloning solution speeds the process.
Experiments with cloning solutions in commercial (not cannabis) trade journals have rated the efficacy of solutions from negligible to significant. Differences in time and success rate have been noted.
In unpublished experiments with various cloning preparations, some have worked better than others. This may have been caused by differences in the concentration of the solutions. Marijuana cuttings should be treated as soft tissue, which responds best to a dilute solution. Hardwood cuttings, including older marijuana branches which have turned woody, respond best to more concentrated solutions. However rooting is inhibited in cuttings when they are exposed to too concentrated a solution. This can be just a little more concentrated than a "good" solution.
In the experiments, the control, with no hormones, performed better than two of the six brands; however, the better cloning solutions outperformed the no-hormone controls."
To me, a much higher success rate and healthy, unstressed clones...are well-worth the few bucks for the hormones.

And finally, 2 weeks after dipping...Ready for more growth stage or directly into the flower room. (which I don't do...I veg 'em a while first)

You mentioned my favorite rooting booster, "willow water".
Usually in an EZ-cloner I use plain water with a small amount (abt 25% of recomended amt or less) of Olivia's with good success. But for stuborn strains that are harder to root, or trying to root difficult cuts, like fan leaves (hehe), willow water is absolutly incredible.
Just last month I made up abt 5 gallons, and have abt another 5 gallons ready soon. Willow water is good stuff.:thumbsup:

You definately can clone using just plain water with no additives at all, I've had to do it many times when when out of rooting solution and willow water.

Hey when i asked the question about clones, it was already in the process of being tested. I wanna report my clone attempt with straight water was successful . Rusty I left lights on 24hr for 4 days, Then realised wtf they only needed 18/6 an 4 days later I had roots. I am gonna try to do a test asap to see if there is a difference in the lights. 24 vs 18/6 just for my own knowledge and report my findings back to ya if ya dont mind.?
