Hi, i just bought my new bubbler today. I think there may be a huge problem with it. I cannot suck in at all if my thumb is on the carb. Looks like the piece that goes down into the chamber from the bowl is connected to the bottom of the chamber. I tried filling it up with water from the bowl and it just overflows from there, no water goes in the chamber.
Am i missing something?

No you're pretty much spot on. I had an incredible bubbler with two bowls once, too bad it slipped and broke. Anyway, something isn't correct about whoever made your piece. DONT use it, just bring it back and show the shop you picked it up at. There should be a glass tube coming from bottom of the bowl about halfway into the correct water level. Sorry man, hope is wasn't expensive. Down here bubblers are around 60 dollars. You should be stoned right now, not wondering why something isn't working.

Yeah weirdest thing i actually bought a pipe like that a couple weeks ago almost like they blew the glass wrong...luckily i was able to return it to the shop and got an extra 15 dollars on another bowl just for my time if having to return to the shop....
