Hi, I am in the UK too.

Yours are a good 2 ft taller and somewhat wider than mine, so, as has been said, you must be doing it right :)

How much sun do they get in your part of the UK?
I am in the N.W. and this year has not been good for much nice, warm, sun :(

Mine are in a back yard and this restricts the amount of direct sun they get to some extent, plus there have been a lot of high winds this year so I have had to suport mine with stakes and gentle cloth "ropes".

Are yours out in the open ?
