Question About Plant Foods?

Ok i have a question about the right kind of plant foods to use?

Do you use the 10/52/10 with the higher middle number when the plants are smaller? {the first 6-8 weeks or so?} then switch over to a 19/31/17 when they go into their 12/12 right?

I was told that i'm to use this kind where i live, as the plants seem to really like the 19/31/17 for orchids...
by Schultz {Expert} ...my plants seem to love it and the buds are forming beautifuly...;)

At first i had i ass backwards and was using the higher middle number when they had started to form the buds!..lol
Noticed the leaves were starting to wilt pritty fast...lol
Since i've started using this orchid plant food, my plants are looking wonderful!:D

Am i to asume that i'm doing the right thing here???..LOL

The first number is nitrogen and you want less of that during flower cycle.

i always used a roundabout 20/20/20 in veg then a 15-30-15 to flower. then with new nutes the numbers changed(i dunno why) to a 7-9-5 for veg and 3-12-6 for buds. these are hydro nutes, i use them in dirt too. talk about confusing. i also use a weaker solution and feed everytime cuz im so burnt out i forget all the time, hehe. but i give clean water breaks every couple weeks. now im fooling with this canna flores stuff with the pk boost and these plants are making nice flowers. i went to a site recommended by zandor in another post, advanced nutrients, for nutes and im going to try them next.
