novice grower. needs info/assistance

right now im growing some cannabis on my desk in my bedroom. using sunlight. miracle gro soil. and bottled water to water it.
i know its really ghetto but its all i got to work with as im growing in my mothers home(yes i read teh faq about growing in parents homes. but my mother knows about it. she bought me the soil and supplied me with the pot to plant it in. but she just wont let me set up a hydroponics system or anything fancy liek that. becuase she does not want to attract any police attention or start any fires or anything) so with that said. can anyone give me soem info on any ways i can help my plant grow. or pretty much anythign i can do to make this easier with the best effects possible.

start there. read all you can. go through some grow logs. look for logs that have similar conditions to yours.

I don't really know your living situation(house, appt, what-have-you), but why not put it outside. One plant isn't going to attract anyone unless someone bad sees it. Depending on what you live in, just put it out back or something.
