Is this normal I repotted one of my plants did a great deal of moving it around, non of this I wanted to do but I got some hydro tents and made some big changes to my grow, one of my plants is wilting. Is that normal is that just stress and shock from repotting and all the moving around? They went through a great deal so I think I stressed it... If it was stressed is that what it would look like kind of wilting and very sad, and what is the best way I could bring it back if at all possible.
wilting is not dead yet. did you water a little bit after transplanting? what time of day did you transplant?
as long as you leave her alone she'll probably recover.

Transplanted at night, and I am hydro so it went back on the water. I transplanted it because my roots had made their way into my rez so they were alway sitting in water so I made that adjustment and they are not happy.Quote:

Running a drip system, the water would pool before it went down a bit, so I fixed that this weekend did a lot to tighten up my system, the had made thier way to were that water was pooling. I made it so that could not happen anymore, those roots that were pooling are in a moist area now, they are just not underwater all the time.Quote:

why don't you add an air pump and air stone to your res and make it a hybrid drip/dwc system? as long as you keep the water oxygenated you should be fine.

I am pumping tons of air in, and now my water does a two foot fall down a pipe, and I built the choke valve that that forces air in it using the vacuum created by the water falling I must say I was really impressed with my self it was a total accident I was just trying to slow the fall of the water a bit I will take some more pictures this weekend and show it off on my grow log. As for hybrid system, yes that is what I will do, much of this is very stressful, but amazing I am really learning the in and outs of hydro as I go along... So I was not sure about letting it just sit in water I was worried the roots would go bad so I moved to get the out of the water, but now I am figuring that they are used to that water and I stressed the crap out of them they are still getting a good amount of water they are just not used to getting it this way. I am learning that these plants are like little kids it is so crazy in a funny way. I have a whole new respect for plants I know dumber people than these things. I am now asking myself when I do something to the way would a little kid do if you did that... If I think the kid would freak out, I guess I could expect the plant to do the same. This has been a hard lesson coming, and my repotting and reading this morning has kind of set that in stone in my head, but all in all it is an easy fix all I need to do is adjust my drain height and they have a hybrid system like you say... As for air I have always pushed tons of air in my water and now with the fall it is even more.Quote:

All and all this first hydro grow has been hard but I have learned so much I am building all my own gear from scratch... Kind of looking at plants kind of trying to understand what the plants need and build it. I have had many problems but by doing it this way I am learning so much... I will get a few plants from this half that I started perhaps a little less, but man I have learned some hard lessons that have helped shape my designs and how I deal with problems, and I have to say talking to you guys on this forum has been a life saver I have learned so much thanks...
