Obama racist against black people????

Ok...I have to get something off my chest. I could be wrong in my thinking, and if I am...please tell me. Here goes:

When cannabis was declared illegal (I know, there was the tax stamp and all that first), one of Anslinger's main arguments was geared towards the black and mexican community. Specifically stating that: "This marijuana causes white women to seek sexual relations with Negroes", and "Reefer makes darkies think they're as good as white men." Now we all know this isn't true and cannot even be proven if someone actually did think it was true. So to me, it sounds like Anslinger was a racist (I know...my powers of perception are astounding lol)...I'm just stating the obvious here.

So if Obama supports a law that was partly based on racism...does that make him (and anyone else for that matter) a racist????? The irony here to me is that he is black...need I say more?

Also...on a side note, does it not sit well with anyone else that the Federal Bureau of Narcotics was established as part of the the Nation Treasury Department??? What, if "their" motives are not monetary, was the reasoning for this? Why did a narcotic division spring up in the treasury department??? If the case was that it was damaging to a person and their actions, why didn't this division come out of the health department??

The more research I do, the more angry I get about this matter and the world we live in. When is everyone going to wake up and realize that we are a divided from the ground up by manufacturers? When in actuality we are all one being...there is no black, white, mexican, Pakistani, whatever. There is no right, no wrong, no good, no evil. There is only what WE manufacture, and what we've manufactured is a way to divide people with laws, language, religion, time, and anything else we can manufacture. We are truly in a sad state of affairs.

Now I'm not saying Obama is racist, I'm not saying that at all. I would like to think he's not. Although I don't personally know the guy, so I can't claim either way. I'm just bringing up a thought, something that occurred to me...that's all. I guess I just wanted to bring up another point as to Anslinger's ridiculous and unsubstantial claims...ones that are still upheld today.

Racism is always an issue that keeps coming up in politics all the time. In education now a days (atleast where I'm from in new york) they drill it into that all people are equal (I don't believe all people are LITERALY equal, obviously things like IQ and moral value exist too and no one can deny that its only logical). I think all people should have equal rights and oppurtunity but thers a serious problem with the whole matter.

If our government were to follow a "hands off" policy where we no longer attempt to constantly try to work on the problem eventually two things would happen, and one is more likely then the other in my opinion.

1. (more likely) The lack of organizations and movements protecting these people would lead to violent and absurb racism all over again, even with the laws we have protecting them.

2. (more possible today then ever) Because were constantly not badgering the "non-targets" of racism they don't feel like they want to be rebelious and be racist towards certain groups of people.

In otherwords, I'm saying that the talk about racism in the world is the racism in itself; people don't want to constantly to hear about how life sucks for others and a lot of people simply don't care. And when they don't care or become annoyed, they act out on these feelings and may act racistly.

Whats messed up is that I can't even deny that when I see black people I become "uncomfortable" but I NEVER proceed to ever act on that feeling. I never treat another race differently ever but I wont lie to myself and say I don't have racist feelings.

I believe people behing honest about this type of thing is the real first step towards ending racism.

Also I don't feel that obama is racist I seriously doubt that but I what I feel is hes just one more politician on the list thats messing up. Things like him laughing off the topic of legalization of marijuana just prove how he can't even grasp the most simple of problems. Anyone who isn't fully backing legalization in a controlled mark is just wrong and it says a lot about how they would take action against other things.

By the way, its out of the treasury dept. cause it IS about money... they don't care about the health factor. The prohibition of drugs like marijuana provide just oppurtunites to many dea officers. Although thousands of new jobs would appear of course, some people will lose jobs they already had and aren't going to agree to a legislation that'll get them layed off. The fucked up thing about is that these corrupt groups have more resources then the legalization movement can even begin to touch on.

---------My feeling is that racism is going to slowly dissapear as more different combinations of races continue to marry and have sex. Also, I deifnatly feel like the mindset of our youth is opening up more and more.

Thanks for responding! In a positive way even. I have to admit I was a little apprehensive on posting what I did as racism always seems to stir the heart.

I don't really think Obama is racist either...I guess I was just sort of pointing out more lunacy to the law.

Thank you for bringing that up. That is a big issue to me. For any person who is in the position to do the right thing laughs off something that is obviously tearing us apart and doesn't even consider the fact that this is an important issue and needs the attention. The way I take that is that Obama is laughing off the fact that non violent, family people are being put away to be raped and possibly stabbed and/or killed in prison for doing nothing but either growing or smoking a plant.
Case in point: I have two step kids that I love dearly, as if they were my own. We have a great life together and they love me as much as I love them...as if I was their real father. Now there is a chance I could get busted smoking, thrown in jail...and a perfectly good family torn apart. What would happen??? The kids would be sent to their father (because of course CPS would take them away from their mother as well I'm sure) who in the past has beaten the shit out of them...literally. To the point that they have no communication with him now. Seriously...they used to come back from him with bruises all up and down. Now tell me....what good does it do to tear a great, peaceful family apart, and send kids to a documented child abuser who, by the way is mormon and pretty good drinker? Does this make sense??? I'm not slamming mormon religion...all in all I think all organised religion is bullshit, but that's another discussion. I'm just saying in the common view, a hardy religious person is much more respected than your average cannabis consumer. Ok...I smoke cannabis, but this tard beats kids and is a heavy drinker....WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!?!?!?!

Those kids are lucky you exist lol. Although sometimes I get very angry at my parents and swear I hate them sometimes I always eventually return to my appreciation of a solid family that genuinely just cares and has trouble understanding.

The truth is that there really is no argument that would even begin to justify the continuation of prohibition. Many politicians are very afraid of fighting with the legalization organizations to legalize pot. However, slowly but surely thing are beginning to look up.

The biggest issue is really the protection of our youth. It has been cemented into society common beliefs that that prohibition helps prevent kids from smoking pot. What most people don't understand is the prohibition just allows black market to jump on the business because the demand for cannabis will always exist.

America makes no sense, tons of our most important documents describe the united states being under god and yet our court systems completely do not recognize the existence of god. Makes zero sense.

Well... one point that must be made is no president is allowed to act upon (or even show) his personal interests, views or beliefs. He is there just representating the interests of the actual owners of the country (great corporations owners, great bankers, etc), and thus he must act accordingly with this.

Even if Obama smoked weed and liked it and wished in his heart to legalize cannabis, he still would have to follow the script written for him and act like if he were against it, and even laugh about it. Being president is just playing a role, and he just played it as he should. Who can know what was he actually thinking when he laughed?

I don't agree with you at all. He cleary said "I don't know what this says about our online community" to a question asking whether or not he would consider regulation to boost revenue. He clearly was going up and beyond saying no, he was actually INTENTIONALLY hinting that the people who asked were stupid.

Don't say a president can't insert a huge amount of their own opinion and action because look at FDR or Andrew Jackson. Just because something is difficult to accomplish that doesn't mean it shouldn't be done or be avoided. That type of thinking is what creates problems

That's like saying every politician that supported prohibition supports organized crime....I honestly think they were too stupid and had too much outside influence putting the pressure on.

The thing that bothers me concerning obama and race it how hes just as much white as he his black. Everyone ignores that hes half white and promotes the fact hes black...im sure we have had a president with a portion of black genetics before just not to this degree.
