these are my plants only one made it ....my plant is now in am 400 wt hps flower box its nugs are getting real nice and hairy but thers some concerns and im thinking of moving it indoors and changeing to ten or more 23w 27,000k cfls is this a good idea? would it shorten the yield?will the plant stretch taller?
yes you will yield less, but if you position your lights properly it will not stretch. and what are your concerns and why are you switching from hps to cfl i think you have it backwards i would use cfls to veg and hps to flower.:hippy:
how much less do you think the yeild wil be? like 20% less? my concerns are its in the back yard and i have no filter for the box its reall stealthy no light leakes but the smell reaks at night you walk by the front yard of the house and you can smell right were it is coming from..its a litlle concerns that if i dont gett enough advice or help i might end up leaving them there unfortunetly i didnt write down the day i started flowering so i have no idea but i think its 2 -3 weeks in to flowering

go to your local wally mart, pick up a couple (or more) containers of activated carbon for fish tanks, then just make an inline tube with a carbon filter. it's what saved my babies from stinking up the neighborhood. :D
any links on how to fully make one ?i have boxes full of that activated carbon from my dads old fish store.

well you all think i should rather go with the filter instead of cfls?right
you need some chicken wire a 4 inch to 3 inch reducer 4 hose clamps a couple of zap straps and 2 nylons like your mom uses lol. and a 4 inch and 3 inch end cap. you wrap about a 10 inch piece of chiken wire around the 3 inch end of the reducer and around the 3 inch end cap and you use your hose clamps to hold it on to your reducer and end cap, then you put a nylon stocking over the chicken wire and fasten it with a zap strap, you then wrap another piece of chicken wire around the 4 inch part of the reducer and just make sure it goes past the 3 inch end cap and put the other nylon stocking over the chicken wire now all you have to do is fill in between the to nylon stockings with the charcoal from the pet store and put your other end cap on and clamp it. you can use what ever size reducers to change the size of your filter it depends on what size of dryer ducting you are using. I hope this will help you and anyone who needs to make there own carbon filter. the chicken wire i refer to is the fence type chicken wire in case you didnt understand.
is the way my light is bad it didnt have room to hang on top so i put it at an angle and tied the colas to the pot so the light will hit them
will it affect it any way?
