First Outdoor Grow!! Condensed Log 6/9-7/28
Been Following along with a lot of threads and I gotta say some great info here and some great growers! With that said I wanted to introduce you all to my first grow ever! It is outdoors
Started From 2 Hash Plant Clones spent several weeks in a sun porch just water no nutes topping or LST just H2O!
Transplanted into 3 gallon pots and officially went outside during the last week in May 1st Pic 1 and 2 are from 6/9 after 2 weeks outside!
June was a nasty month in the Northeast Rain rain rain (tough going for a while) after 6/9 Plants started to get their first nutes Fox Farm Grow Big and Big Bloom at 1/2 doses! Plants Proved Very hardy so I slooowly increased nute doses to full serving! Also of note Cal-Max every feeding to prevent lock up! also the Chelated Iron in the Cal Max gives a Deeep green color! Real good Stuff IMHO! Still in 3 Gal pots!
Pics 3 and 4 are from 6/22 the girls seeking refuge from the rain in an enclosed sun porch for 3 days!
Finally a bit of sun at the beginning of July..Girls made it though the rain! Transplant into 14 Gallon planters. Fox Farm Ocean Forrest Soil burried halfay into ground. Hole in ground got several inches of peastone as did first few inches of the bottom of each pot to insure great drainage!! Not Nutes Just water for 2 weeks so the plants could deal with the shock of the transplant! I should also mention that spider mites and aphids have been controlled nicely with Safer organics! Girls had No issues with the Safer Products!!
pics 5 & 6 are from July 1st
After Girls adjusted to their new home I started with Nutes again Fox Farm BB GB and Low Doses of Tiger Bloom (hot suff careful) Cal Max Each Feeding! Some great Sun Finally Using More and more water! Deep Saturation of a well drained soil makes the roots chase the water which is a very very good thing!! I have not trimmed, tied, topped, Lst nothing getting very bushy is this a bad thing? We will see
Pics 7 & 8 are from July 23
Comming into August I am preparing for first signs of flowering Nutes have been changed Fox Farm Grow Big and Fox Farm Open Sesame! And of course Cintinuing With the Cal Max! Getting Very Hot! The Girls have been thirsty and their water has been adjusted accordingly No flowers yet but soon :D Stocks are getting thick Blackberry and hand thrown in to show scale!
Any Questions Comments and Critisims Are welcome and GREATLY appreciated
Pics 9 & 10 11 & 12 are from Today July 28

They look fantastic! I don't think flowering will be any problem...if anything, the compactness will help the THC develop stronger because the nutrients don't have to travel as far up the plant stalk (if that makes sense).
If you wanted to, when it comes time to flower you can trim some of the top leaves so the leaves underneath get light too. But for outdoor grows, there is usually plenty of sun even for the leaves underneath. If you were doing an indoor grow, there might be cause for concern, but for an outdoor grow, you should be stoked
