My attempt at dilution, and interpretation of home test

Hey everyone, I have a pending drug test and have been clean 10 days. So, I went to the local head shop and purchased a few "Purple Sticky Brand" panel test kits for THC. Then I followed the dilution thread posted as a sticky at the beginning of this forum. Oh, I guess I should mention that I did the home test before diluting as well and it came up positive (only one line on the panel). So, yes, then I followed the procedure on the dilution thread, and tested myself again. What I saw for a result was the first line was bold pink and there was a very faint second pink line. Now, what I am wondering is.., if that second line isn't fairly bold and pink as the first..., does that mean my result is just borderline and may in fact be interpreted as positive as well?

a lines a line and a line even barely is PASSING :thumbsup:

The intensity of the t line does not matter. If it can be photographed or copied then its a line.

How much longer do you have? Every day that passes is a friend to you. Practice dillution a few more times and good luck.

I'm not sure exactly when.., but I'm thinking they may tell me to go test tomorrow. But thanks for that info on the line. I don't suppose they'd send it away for further testing if the urine looked almost neon yellow due to the B vitamins..., I hope not, heh.

yepp...my advice to you would be to continue practicing w/ the guidelines on the dilution sticky. those directions are intended to dilute your urine to the point where it still passes validity tests as well as keep THC levels below the cutoffs.
i dont think they would bother sending your sample out for additional analysis unless your sample was a color other than clear or yellow.

Yep, I'll post once I have done the test and have results..., I also have someones clean urine, but I'm wary of trying that as well, I'm just a big chicken all the way round..., heheh. I'm really considering giving up my favorite drug cuz of how worried I get when I know I could get tested on the job any day if an incident were to occur. I just like it too much.., hmmm, pot or career, pot or career, lol..., i like makin' good coin too, may just be pot..., sigh.

Wrong. There is no meaning attributed to the intensity of a line. Even synthetic urine controls used for GC/MS calibration can produce a faint line on an assay.

A faint line in the Test region is still a negative. Even if an untrained tech would misinterpret a faint line as a "fail" and sent the sample off for GC/MS confirmation, the sample would still come back as negative.

K, so i'm going to be tested tomorrow, almost for sure. I have a sample from someone else to sub with, but, I had it frozen since it was taken.., then due to having to travel 600 miles with it..., it thawed. I had it chilled in a cooler, but it is in liquid form. The question I have now.., it looks all cloudy.., its still refrigderated but like I said looks all cloudy. Is this normal for cold piss? heh

I just tested myself without diluting, and tested positive.., but have diluted twice now successfully. The only fear I have with dilution is them getting all suspicious cuz when I dilute and take the B vitamins.., it looks a weird color, still yellow, but a weird yellow. What COULD they do if they suspect something with the strange yellow pee?

Didn't use the sub sample as it was either contaminated or something.., would still like to know why it had a bunch of sediment, or something in it. At any rate, pissed dirty that morning of the test, diluted using sticky and viola', am gainfully employed. I am going to stay away from smoking though as any incident could invoke a test and I don't want to have to worry about losing my job.
