quick question re: drying bud
hey guys just a quick question, we chopped down our plant and because of our circumstances couldnt hang it up anywhere to dry properly but the bud smells like wet freshly cut grass..is this normal? right now i have it just sitting in an open glass container just waiting for it to dry out. im hoping this smell goes away and its real odour comes back
quick question re: drying bud
if it smelt like bud earlier and now smells like grass, it could be excreating its leftover water. After they are dry to touch and the stem still bendable without breaking stick it in a jar and burp it "opening everyonce in a while. this will make the moisture come back into the buds/leafs etc. and giving it that smooth taste and the earthy smell rather than grass clippings

Yep, a grassy smell can always be expected once the tree is cut down. If, cured properly your buds will retain the flavor and taste you crave.
quick question re: drying bud
What you are smelling is the left over chlorophyll. I would take it out of the jar and dry it in a paper bag or something. If you start to jar it up with that chlorophyll still in it, you will just cure in the grass smell and it will stay.
How dry are the buds? Can you crack a stem or do they still bend and fold? That is the important part, if they are still wet, the chlorophyll will dissipate as the h2o evaporates out.
Is your jar in regular light or in the dark? If the jar is in the light the chlorophyll stays in the tissue longer because the chemical is reactive to light.
ALWAYS dry and cure buds in the dark.
quick question re: drying bud
well the buds are a bit crispy, i'll probably leave it out another day or two (im drying them in the dark btw) and then i'll probably jar them up to cure them. thanks for the responses!
