hmm.. what would you do?

Well, thankfully the rain hs finally cleared up in NY and my blueberry x AK-47s from joey weed are at 4' and finally starting to take off, but I still still have a few problems. A) my plants are being eaten to shreds by little colorful aphids. Annoying flying little bastards. But the bigger problem is a tree. My garden is a nice little clearing in the woods and my plants get full sun until 1-2pm. It would be full sun the whole day if it weren't for a seemingly dead tree with lush vines all the way up. I would climb up the tree and take of some vines down, but it's tall and the branches are to high up to clmb. I would use a pole saw, but there's something a little suspicious about a strange man walking down the street and into the woods with a pole saw, lol. And to make matters worse I would have to go through some dangerous looking poison ivy patches to get upp to the tree. Oh and it's all loads of prickers out there which I really don't want to clear cut through. I might as well post a friggin sign. But my chillins are beggin me for more light, especiall now that we're coming up on flowering pretty soon. I don't know what to do. Any suggestions? I really don't want to fell a tree, lol. I might just have to brave the poison ivy and cimb the vines(not poison ivy vines) up the tree anddo some hacking. I've also considered starting a new little patch somewhere else and have started the seeds. Think I'll get much off of new plants at thispoint?

First off get some insect spray....wont bug your bud out until your in flowering phase! 2nd-ly....cut the god damn tree down if it's already dead!
And in regards to the Ivy....long sleeves, long pants, and gloves....just remeber to drop off your clothing at your ex girls house so she can get a good rub down on them! :D

The trees dead, but it's pretty damn big and there's a development nearby, it aint close, but it aint far and dropping a tree might draw too much attention. As for the insects I have a 3 in 1 pesticide fungicide miticide that works pretty well. organic, stinks to high heaven but works. Guess I'm gonna have to brave it. I'm weighing how important the tree is. Think they could do all right with 5 hrs of sun? damn. When I chose the spot it was great, but that tree is driving me up a wall. Going to plant these seeds on sunday see what happens. Poison ivy is rampant out here. Last thing I need is to turn into a big itching rash on legs. I'll probably glove up, cut the vines and try to rip them off the tree or use them as a rope to climb. Growing pot is a dirty job, but somones got to do it, lol

if you're getting full sun into the early afternoon then dont worry about it. plants only need 5 hours of direct sunlight to thrive, and its best when they get morning sunlight. also, some strains react badly to too much sun. i'd say you're in good shape.

hey i got the same thing going on good sun till 1-2 pm only thing diffrent for me is a tree is blocking the 1st 2 hours....and i cant do nothing about it this year....

I'd recommend trying to tree tip it, get some rope and like a ratchet jack(the things on trucks that u ratchet to tighten, idk if its called a rachet jack, but it sounds cool) cuz because DNR goes through the woods all the time, they would prolly look for sawdust and a clean cut tree.....

Take a pair of garden clippers, and cut out a section about 6 inches in length of the vines a couple of feet off the ground. Same way to kill off ivy growing up and killing trees. And if you have the right agent, you can take a little and put it on the ground section you cut so they won't come back. :thumbsup:

Edit: You can get a spray bottle of Burnout II and spray it on the cut vine ends and the leaves will wilt die off in a matter of days. Its eco/bio friendly. :D

we also happen to be growing an auto version of the same strain. Too late, though, I went out there and cut every last vine, just waitin for em to die off. Climbing the tree or felling it wasn't an option. Hope that helps but if it doesn't, hey I tried, ya know?
