OK, they aren't very bad yet, but I'm not trying to let them get any worse, whats a simple solution I can use on my 5gal hydro plants. Any help would be awesome. If I need to buy something, thats cool too, but if theres something I can do without the money involved, that'd be neat-o.

OK, if you search Zandor and spidermites you will find what you need.
As I was helped by him. It's all about braking the life cycle. A mite can lay eggs at 2 weeks old. ( born pregnant) Eggs hatch each week, So if you can kill the adults once a week for three weeks you have broken the cycle and all eggs will be gone or dead. There are all kinds of spays and neem oil but are very hard on the plants, even just water will burn plants when lights are on. so this is how Zandor had me do it.
Dr. Dooms pyrithium bombs or any with just pyrithium. The DR. has small ones for small rooms. One bomd each week at same time for 3 weeks and while lights and everything is off so as not to explode the bombs. It's just that easy. No more mites or bugs of any kind. The bombs are not cheap but not way high either. I keep 3 on hand but have been mite free every since.
My bro can't get rid of them completely because he's cheap and will only set a bomb once a month. It keeps population down but not gone. And I'm paying for the bombs. lol. I don't like to get anything from him now because he gave them too me in the first place. I think he likes the taste of mites when they burn in a pipe. LOL
Do this and it's over unless you bring them back in. Go with the spays and you will be fighting a long time.
The only other thing is C02. If you can flood the room with c02 at a high level of 2000 PPM for 24 hours and do this once a weeks it's the same as the bombs.
The bombs can be used up to a few days before harvest too. Pyrithium dissapates quickly.
awesome, yeah the guy im growing with a is quite a cheap-one as well, bottom of the line soil for all his plants, and he wonders why he has mites and flies.......But the other day when I saw the bugs, i raped the shit out of every leaf to try and kill them, gonna see if anything has happened since then, but if that doesn't work, I'll look into the bombs and sprays and what-not. Thanks man, you've helped me on more than half the shit I've asked on this site, LoL.

Even water will kill them but it takes time. Every 3 days spray the underneath of the leaves. It'll take a couple weeks. I use HotShot bug killer pest strip. I got nailed hard over night by an infestation. They were gone within24 hours of hanging it. I don't use it in flower though.
