So Im on day 22 of flower, shes getting nice and big, but Im coming across some terms and some information Id like to clear up.
1. The mother plant. How do I make her a mother plant and why is she called the mother. I understand she would be the plant you take clones from but does that mean she lives forever, which brings me to my next question.
2. Cloning. Could someone either in detail explain or post a link with information on cloning. Lots of information. I dont know what to use to cut, or what to do once Ive cut. When to cut. where to cut. For example, I have about 8 stems from the bottom that are not even half way up the plant. Whne I started I didnt do much research of topping or lst but Im up on that now. But ya, my plant is about 26-28 inches tall, the stronger branches are more than half way up, but these ones just arent getting light. Being at day 22 of flower, would it be suggested to clone them?
3. Third is all these damn terms I keep hearing. Sog and there are a few others. Can someone explain.
Thanks guys.

well if your 22 days into flower than i guess next grow you can pick a mother or you can try and reveg what you have (if it is female) but imo that can be a big time investment and a PITA. I personally dont use a mother. I started 1st grow by seed and pull clones 1 week before switching to flower, that way I am constantly cloning every grow and dont have to play around with seeds. Also I dont have the extra room to keep vegging 1 or 2 plants to have as mothers.

Just a tad more info....It helps when you take cuttings to scrape a little off at the ends (with sterile razor blade) to promote root growth in those spots. Also, they are always called cuttings and not clones until they have rooted. You probably already know that though!

yup yup
The thread above really helped me understand what I could have done differently from the beginning.
Today I decided that they were done for so I took them out of the room but Im going to try again with them, going to get a dome in the morning and see what I can do about reviving my babies. Not giving up yet. Thanks for the imput tho itiliano
