Well, if you've been smoking recently, you can expect a 30 day suspension from from your cdl, a drug evalutation, along with substance abuse therapy, and 1 year of random drug screens...all out of your pocket.
So far it's cost me around $700.00, and I'm just getting started.
Good Luck!
On ALL DOT tests, any sample that tests positive on the initial EMIT screen, must be GC/MS tested for confirmation.Quote:

Yep your screwed. Thats why its important to read up and be prepared for these randoms.
I guess i didnt word my question correctly my question was if I have a marinol script will they run the GC/MS test to confirm, the MRO called me and asked me if I had a script for marinol i told them i did are they going to run the second more expensive test or are they going to take my script and call it good?
If you have a script for marinol and gave the mro your doctors or pharmacists phone number you should be good.
I have seen some "information" about marinol on the net but can't find any solid facts that would nail you for a positive if you have a script. I would like to find out what the outcome is for you as i am going to get a prescsription for marinol. After that I'm gona get me some weed. Here is what i have found on the web. here is one coment about a guy that clainms he can tell the differance between pot and marinol. Alternative Health Systems "Mahmoud el Sohly now claims he has a protocol that will make the distinction by testing for THCV which has yet to be confirmed. He has offered to make the testing available for $17,000.) " this test is a big topic on these sights but no one can name names, or sight cases. The last public word on the www is that no further testing may be performed after a legitimate medical reason is given for a positive result. One thing is you should never admit to anything. It won't save your job! So please please come back and let me know what the final outcome is. THANKS
My marinol prescription cleared me on my UA with the DOT, and I have been smoking on a daily basis for years now for my medical condition. I guess they can tell the difference but they did not run that test the MRO called me and asked if I had any medical reason for having my test show positive for THC i told them I had a Marinol prescription they asked me to fax proof so I did and they cleared me just that easy even reported the test to my employer that everything was negative.

Congrats. Thanks for the followup. This should help anyone that has a marinol script in the future.
