Help!!!! Will this plant survive? (photos)

It's been 24hrs since this plant was exposed to too much heat(accidental/plz don't ask), seems like the stems are shriveling which is continuing to the plant...there are a few healthy leaves with no wilt, the stem is healthy till near the top of the plant which is wilted(top). The plant was watered before the indicent

It was grown from a seed(indica), with soil, 125w cfl, 100w gls, and plant feed. If I cut the top off, will it survive? Can I perform any cuts at all?

Please any detailed help/steps(can I save/help this plant?) will be appreciated...

If you still have some new growth that isn't burned, (steamed?) you might be able to get them to squeek-by, but what has happened could be enough stress to confuse her gender, if she survives.

I'd treat it like an unrooted clone, and cut the leaf-tips off of the droopers, in hopes that it really wants to live...and use it as a learning experience. In the mean time, I'd plant some more seeds asap, and don't do whatever you did to cause this in the first place. :jointsmile: Did you by chance spray it while under yesterday's sun, (foliar damage) or let it sit on a hot patio all day? (root damage)

Is the 100w gls a grow light spot? The kind that gets to be 1000 degrees and isn't great for plants in the first place? If so, I'd ditch it and replace with more CFL light.

Thanks, but I'm not sure cutting the tips of the dried leafs will do any good at this point, as the stalk/stem of each leaf has completely dried out/unable to support weight(upper portion of the plant), is it possible for them(damaged leaf stems) to recover??

Also if I cut the top of the plant, will/can it grow a new head/ continue growing??
or is it best to just crop the damaged leaf stems completely

Is this a heat related issue, or a chemical related issue? If chemical, and you don't flush with huge ammounts of properly ph'd water, the chems are still burning the roots and killing the plant. So I'd flush and trim the dead crispy ones.

If it's heat related, trim the dead crispies to see what's left. This may be your best bet. You might have to wait a few days to see if there are any signs of new growth from the nodes. Save any leaf that is still green and pliable.

Topping is a last resort, as this adds tremendous stress to the plant. But if unable to restor vigor to the mainstem, or if there's no new growth in the next couple of days...top it.

Any chance of fresh pictures? Once you get a few more posts under your belt you can upload them by using the paperclip icon.

Hope for the best, but plan for the worst. Do you have access to more seeds or clones?

When you bring up the editor to enter a message, use advanced mode.
At the top of the message box you will see a string of icons.
An underlined A, a smilie.:) and a paper clip.
Clickin' on da clip will open an upload menu.
Browse your hard drive for the photos you want, click 'em, and hit OK.
When you've lit the ones you want, hit upload and wait for that to finish.

Return to your message.
Place your cursor where you want the picture to be, then click
the little down arrow next to the paperclip and choose the picture you want in that spot.
It will insert the word "attach" and a number, between right and left carats.
When you preview the post you will see your thumbnail photo which will expand to full size when chosen.
