Substitution - Couple of Questions.

Hi, I want to thank all the regulars who are helping people like me try to survive in the corperate world and all we do wrong is smoke weed.

Questions:

1) I have had this job for 7 years and took a pre-employment test in 2001 and also a couple of randoms at Labcorp in 2004 and 2005 (I didn't smoke for these tests). I plan on subbing this time. Is there any circumstance that I would be observed at Labcorp? I haven't been there in many years and don't know if any laws about observation have changed. The last two times I was asked to empty my pockets and went into a closed door bathroom with the blue toilet water and sink shut off. Have there been any changes.

2) I plan on using my 12 year old son's pee. I have practiced with water in the past and usually heated the water in the Mic for about 8 seconds, capped the 2 ounce "5 hour energy bottle" and recorded temps over time while jocked with 2 pairs of underwear. The water seemed to stay at roughly 97.2 for at least 2-3 hours. Is there any damage that can be done to the urine sample by nuking for 8 seconds? I can't imagine there would be a problem your just heating some colored water but I thought I would ask.

I went to Labcorp last June (wow, its been a year). It was the same as you described. Stuff in drawer, private bathroom with blue water in the toilet and a non-working sink.

No, it won't hurt the urine to nuke it 8 seconds.

:trooper: Man. Substitution is SO badass! It's all spy-like with the practice drills and then the sneaking in stuff in your pants because your pockets are emptied and then! pouring the sample with a steady hand and trying to emulate the sound of someone taking a piss because you're being listened to! And taking into account that the toilet water has been equipped with dye as another verifier checkpoint! I find it really a thrilling concept. I think I would be way too nervous to pull that off. I don't think I've ever broken the rules with *props* before.
