My experience and need your input

Hi all. I have been lurking on this site for a week and picking up some great info. I want to thank the regulars for some straight info and telling it like it is. I am 43 yrs old, 5'11", 195 lbs, not fat but could lose another 5. I have been suffering from insomnia for years and after much research decided to try the cannabis. I have been smoking about .5-1 small joint a day since Oct. 2007. Takes me about 3-4 weeks to go through an 1/8. Usually pretty good but not great meds. My previous job had me active and I run/walk about 10 miles/wk. Pretty good metabolism, I have been a 34 waist for 20 yrs and never exceeded 205 lbs. not matter what "bad" food and drink I ate.

I have to do a UA in the next 5-9 days, might be able to stretch it to 12 days for a great job opportunity, currently laid off. I have been totally clean since 5/22/09. Today is day 14.

I am not going to ask how long to be clean. I want to relate that in my case I have been doing some home tests, the Walgreens one and my pass/fail results have been fluctuating day by day. I can pass (2 visible lines no matter how faint) 2x in a row and the 3rd test the t line is gone or its a ghost line. 2 days ago I passed with my morning void, today I did not. I am mailing in my sample to the at home co. today.

I need your input as to why I would be getting such fluctuating results? I have followed the instructions and I placed my self on the high fiber diet plus metamucil supplements. I have kicked up my exercise regimen and also walk everywhere and try to stay active. What's up? Have any of you seen this before? I still have a little time, should I be doing something different?

Oh BTW the UA will be at Quest Diagnostics and it is a 6633N SAP 10-50 GC/MS. Does anybody have experience with this test?

Not an expert, but I would think that when you are taking the tests your are flushing some of the THC out of your system (when you piss) and that may be why it's showing on the first 2 or so and not the next one. May have just needed some time to get the "higher" levels out.

I believe your fluctuating results are happening because you are exercising and when you do that you are releasing the THC metabolites into the blood stream which are then excreted in the urine. Maybe you should not work out and then test yourself a couple of days later, and see what your results are.

Make sure if you can to sit in a sauna or steam room to help sweat out some of the toxins. But to be on the safe side, you may want to sub with a clean sample or with some sythetic urine. Just make sure you don't smoke anymore, and continue to check yourself, although you may want to look at getting some of those tests from ebay or medical disposables, because those Walgreen tests can get pricey.

I took a test on 70 days clean at a hospital and start in about a week. Its been 8 days since the test, and they haven't called so I assume I passed. Good luck to you, and let us know how it goes.

Thanks Italiano and WJohn. I thought that this might be the case. I am going to continue working out today and tomorrow, give myself a rest over the weekend and test myself again on Monday. On the bright side I physically feel GREAT since starting me exercise and diet regimen although I am still having some sleepless nights.

Any thoughts from anyone else? Would love to hear from FBR and SuzieQ.
