Has anybody ever seen this?

I am growing several white widows. My problem started when one of them , the biggest one, started getting tiny yellow dots on most of the leaves. Now, a lot of the leaves, not just the fan leaves, are turning all yellow and falling off. It was only doing this on the one plant but now the tiny dots have shown up on another plant. The plants have small preflowers on them but they are not full on budding so I don't think it's the normal fan leaf die off that happens. Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be?

I am growing outside in Florida.
High of 90 degrees and lows of 70.
The plants are about 4 feet tall and almost 2 months old.
I give all the plants an all purpose plant food (24-8-16) once a week.
They are in pots with a soil mixed up with peet, cow manure, and perlite. Also, I added some bone meal, blood meal, and garden lime.
I give them all water from the hose.
I added some magnesium sulfate powder a week ago to see if it would help but it didn't.

hey I'd check your PH, and flush with PH 6.2-6.8 water.. or maybe 7-9 if your soil is too acidic ;)

I knew I forgot to include something. I have checked the ph of the soil and it was between a 6 and 6.5. So, if it's overwatering wouldn't flushing it make the problem worse?

yes if the problem is overwatering specifically and only, flushing is pointless, but if your plants have been overwatered because they've not taken up nutes because of overnute, then the case is different ;) I've had this problem myself, (spots) recently, when I was trying to bring my PH down with phosphoric acid and probably went a bit too crazy with my nutes, and they appeared, a flush and nute cutback seemed to help :) and hey, that shouldnt really hurt unless your plants are literally drenched at the rootbase.

a calcium deficiency, perhaps ? ... how long since you tested your soil pH ?, with that cow manure, etc, in there, it breaks down over time, getting hotter ... White Widow is known to be a light feeder ... these are just ideas I'm tossing out here, no firm diagnosis :jointsmile:

Outside in pots?...or in the ground?...(I'm guessing fungus/mold?)(poor air flow?)

do did the plants get wet in the rain and was it partly sunny during or immediatly after

im thinking burn or some knida mold/fungus

fill out the form
