why am i getting too much N?

to rusty or anyone else out there....

i've been using the fox farm lineup this grow round. i've been feeding with the half dosage twice a week for a full dose as rusty recommends. that's for the liquids.

as for the solubles, i use them according to the fox farm schedule. those are applied every other feeding per the chart.

Nice-n-green, lol. Worse case in current condition is that you'll have to cure them a tad longer, and might get some aftertaste.

Although Cha Ching is the only one I use and the only one I have experience with, the solubles are way too strong for full strength use in conjunction with the liquids.

With the Cha Ching, I replace one 'normal' feeding per week, with the appropriate (one quarter to one half strength) dose of Cha Ching, and only in the last few weeks of flower. Watch for response, then adjust to suit needs. Sativa dom's are a little more prissy with the stuff than indica doms, too. (leaf-edge damage and color-fade)

Have you been checking the ph of the nute mix going in, too?

About time for a transplant? Looking pretty good, though. :thumbsup:

i have not been checking the pH of the nutes going in. all i have at the moment is a freshwater aquarium test kit. a proper pH test pen is the next on the to get list! i know i know.

for the solubles i've been using a 1/4 teaspoon added every other feeding. i'll back those off and see what happens.

i guess it would help if i had some known genetics too. it's all good learning though.

as for the transplant, yeah they could use it. i usually only have to water/feed twice a week. they have just grown faster than any other batch i've grown so far. must be the nutes.

they are in 3 gallon pots at the moment. and my space is maxed out. so i don't know exactly what to do as far as that's concerned. i really don't want to chop anything if i don't absolutely have to! and i have learned my lesson!

first off what M.G. (slow release, organic)?
as i have noticed nutrient medium conflict in some cases.

i am assuming they are from clone from their shape
How long was veg And how deep into flower are they?

Are you using the trio of solubles also, and if so where are you now and is it 1/2 or full strenght

did you pre soak your soil before you planted?

you might want to transplant into deeper pots (bigger buds)

when my soil has n already and im in flower ill ease back on nutes with n and ill run the beastie blooms longer until i see that late flower yellowing start
then ill switch to cha ching, ive been known to run beasties the whole way through its a little denser and there is a little taste differance but nothing dissapointing

i have not used fox farms regular nutes yet but i have used the soluable trio with GH BC and Organic the bc caused alot of conflict in a soil medium and did much better in peat (sunshine) based md. it did great with gh in peat. i like it with org cause you get the benefits of both minimal clean grey ash with the benies of fat great tasting nugs and it does great in soil and peat with less worries.

phat, the mg soil is palm, cactus and citrus. it's was the only thing available to me at the time. i didn't soak the media first.

they are all from random bagseed.

i vegged them for about 4 weeks and they have been flowring for the past 4.

i'm using the whole fox farm lineup. liquids and solubles. for the solubles i'm using the small end of the scoop (1/4 teaspoon i think).

i'm at a loss for transplanting. i know they could use bigger pots, but i'm out of space. and i just can't bring myself to cut some of them down! i'm sure it wou
ld be better in the long run. who would have thought you could love plants so much?!

i guess i better start researching peat based mediums. i just found out i have a hydro store down the street. and they carry better stuff that wally world and hope improvement stores. or i can just switch to dro!

i have a sativa strain that all her branches are growing into the light every day in veg some days ill rais it 3 inches and wake up to her touching the light t5 so its not that bad i had to move her from the mh though its insane i need to figure a good way to train her.

nutes are good but its more likely genetics

thats too bad here in norcal the grocery stores cary foxfarms and happyfrog soils and nutes lol it blew my mind :rastasmoke:

the hydro store would be great but ive noticed wal mart and home improvement stores carrying more marijuana friendly nutes. im having the best miracle grow results ever (not to be confused with best ever) from this organic MG potting soil (low budget) - whoa canna cap kick in - the nutrients seem more subtle.

when you use pre fertalized soil your supposed to soak it first or you get hot spots areas where the dirt dont get wet till the roots get there and then there is too many nutes or something. i read it in a post here once

although im sure theyll probly do fine all around

the soil you have is hottedt in the n category but with wett waterings should be almost gone.

and if width is your prob go deep, if hieght go wide i dont uderstand the shape of convetional pots it seem theyd work better flipped upside down since roots go down and out hmmm whatever.

on my budget id have alot more messed up grows if i went hydro all them damn gizmos to buy lol
