Malted Barley as an addition
I was at the store today looking for molasses, because I've read lots of good things about using it as an additive, when it occurred to me that I've got some malted barley lying around.
I've been a home brewer for years and almost always have some sort of malted barley lying around, I'm thinking that using malted barley as an additive in flowering would have similar effects to molasses, providing additional sugars and such.
Any thoughts? Any compelling reasons not to try it? I'm brewing up some right now... think I'm going to give it a whirl.

let us know if anything happens ... a lot easier to find molasses, in the stores, but let us know if it's worth the hunt ... you might pH the stuff first, see what it's gonna be ...

definitely easier to find molasses, but like I said I pretty much always have some lying around.
